We are quite happy with the hotel, my kids love kid's club cause even though is small but the aunty is creative, she made pony tail and other activity with my kids. The hotel is overrated they said have 3 swimming pool actually 1 small kid's pool, 1 kid's pool and only 1 is really swimming pool. Internet is very slow but it is ok if only to browse and look info. The distance to beach is around 300m to kata and 600m to karon, but to go to hotel is quite steep road, lucky we have rent rent car around 1000baht per day. Sea food near kata beach is very nice, off course the price also expensive. kata and karon beach is not crowded so it is ok for my kid, chair on the beach is for rent so someone will come to collect 100 baht per chair, if you are not interested for sun bathing then just borrow extra towel on vista lobby.

We thought the staff were really good and the food was excellent. The swimming pool was very child friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. You had the usual bed-baggers early in the morning and there were not all that many poolside loungers, so that was a bit of a problem, but most seemed happy and you could always walk down to the beach. The hill back up was steep, but a good daily workout and certainly my 5 and 7 year olds were quite happy to do it twice a day without moaning.

Lovely hotel suitable for family with kids

A lovely and quite hotel with a lot of facilities including even a kids club with so many toys inside. My baby(15m) just loved there. They also have a kids pool so this hotel is very suitable for family with young kids. Location is on a small hill, only 5 min walk to the beach. Breakfast is very nice, not the same everyday. Highly recommendation!

Stayed for The 3. Time, and was absolutely The same hotell as it was 3-4 years ago!
I love this Hotel , and will of course recomand to other future gests!
It is a good 4 star!! And The food is reasonble priced. Same price as other restaurants in kata, but a Hole lot better!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When haiding for The beach, go to kata Noi! Espesialy if you go with children, or girl-boyfriend!
Easy to get food along The beachfront, and absolutely The most beatyful public beach on Phuket
Should Cost 250 bath , and no more;)

Nice but overpriced for what you get--2 stars

Numerous things went wrong with our rooms. Yes, rooms. They moved us once but only after a day of not fixing the problem. Then we had other problems, which led to two workmen in our room on NY Eve fixing the fan in the A/C. Not to mention two sleepless nights because of noise.
The staff is nice and they kept giving us things because things were not working and couldnt get fixed right. We got a cake, two meals, and free taxi.
The problems are not what you expect at the Avista's rates. And the lack of quick fixes comes from the poor management structure.
So, my suggestion is to go here only if you get a good deal.
The property itself is nice (but see others on pool chairs) and the location great (except hill).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Negotiate a daylong deal with the taxis out front. You can go all over for a full day and it will be reasonable.
