This is a great resort located in Surin Beach which is nice and quiet. The beach is literally a 2-3 minute walk from the front entrance of the hotel. I was surprised at how cheap room service was and the quality of the food was great. The staff was fantastic as well.

We (mother and daughter) had booked junior garden suite but got double upgrade to deluxe with sea view. Accomodation was superb. Resort very quiet midweek but was getting busier by weekend. Staff were excellent. There are a lot of steps to reach accomodation but they provide a buggy if you are feeling lazy! Spa had offer - buy one treatment get one free which we took advantage off. 2 Hours of unimaginable bliss -full body massage and facial. We took hotel mini bus to Patong- avoid at all cost. Really busy tacky resort with a lot of shady characters. My daughter got a lot of unwanted attention there. However, shopping was cheap. Thai silk good price.

What a great, relaxing getaway at the Ayara! We loved every minute...the Pros definitely outweighed the Cons! Phuket itself is just a lovely island to vacation on, and the Ayara allowed a fantastic respite from our afternoon activities. We always let out a huge "aaahhh" when we returned back to our suite in the evenings! The staff could not have been any lovelier [same can be said of the Thai people in general!]...their service and demeanor puts this place over the top! We highly recommend!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Most people [including many tourists] ride around on scooters on the island. It is by far the most convenient and cheapest form of transportation there, hands down. You'll see them everywhere and they are very easy to rent.

we stayed four nights at ayara in feb 2010. liked the hotel, the rooms are actually as large as a condo. views are fantastic. staff was excellent. they helped us with an odd request as we were selling a home in the us and we repeatedly neated documents reprinted and scanned back to the usa. did not charge us a penny for doing that either.
Restaurant Tip:
There are several restaurants and shops across the way including one which will do laundry overnight for 50bht/kg.

Great design and layout - suite with lounge, bedroom and dressing room/bathroom so nice sectioning of space. Private balcony with great views of the sea, outside plunge pool. Great landscaping. God location near Surin beach for other restaurants.

Beautiful hotel, in a great location near the beach for sunbathing and lots of restaurants and beach clubs for cocktails and dining. Great food in the hotel itself too, and lovely pool. Breakfast really nice on balcony over pool. Surin beach good area. Quite pricy, but worth it I think.

Yes they have a beach
The beach is a 5 minute walk away or get a ride from hotel. It is a deluxe private area with great lounge chairs and good food and drink. You can also get food and drink at many other beach restaurants next to the private area.

If you go there to relax, you can not do better in my opinion. The deluxe room is huge and has a balcony with two lounge chairs and plenty of room left over. Many windows on three sides yet you have total privacy. I loved the outdoor shower (also fully private). The staff is perfect. The poolside restaurant is very nice with great food.
Nightlife Tip:
There is taxi service outside the hotel if you do not wish to use the hotel's van or car.

The resort is rather new and staff quite friendly. We had quite a big suite and the decoration and layout inside was very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Good quality of food and quite relaxing. The facilities at the beach are fabulous. The best of the beach together with the ones of the Palm Tree resort.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
don't stay by the pool but go to the beach (just 5 mins walk or take the shuttle). Beach is great

This is the best resort I have ever stayed in. The suite was amazing and well appointed. All the staff were so friendly and the guys who drove the buggies were great.
I would definitely stay here again.
Travel tip:
Pla Seafood on the beach is a great place to eat at night. Very romantic and within 5 min walking distance of the hotel.

deco and setting of the room is fabulous! we stay in the sea view room, i can probably just stay the whole day stay in the hotel room.

the hotel is in surin beach, which is the quite exclusive stay place--on the hill,facing to the sea. i do enjoy the cosy beach without crowds and noisy. the hotel provide bagi service to beach as well. you can just be satisfied to stay there .dont forget have to get up to try the breakfast---everything so fresh!
Restaurant Tip:
The silk is recommended as authentic thaifood by the hotel staff.but we didnt really feel it is very thai! the place for real thai food i think you should visit " Baan Rim Pa "in Phuket specializes in Royal Thai Cuisine.you will never feel regreted to dinning there.though the price little high
