It can command a view from the balcony in which room of the sea because of the hotel of the cottage type that builts in the sloping land in the jungle. It can enjoy snorkeling, and the tropical fish and the coral reef can be appreciated on a small beach in the presence. The equipment such as snorkel tubes does a free rental in the reception.
The fallen leaf was numerous in the hotel site. Regular cleaning of a pool be not being implemented and a pool side is a leaf fall-covered. A part of equipment such as deck chairs and showers on the beach side has been becoming superannuated. The rest room in the restaurant smelt a little.
It is a location also in the Phuket main island enough as the unexplored region sense can be tasted though is Langkawi. The sea was seen from the balcony, and the cost performance was high though it was a cheap, deluxe room of a low season that stayed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Is if the rental motorcycle is used, even katabeach 15 minutes? It is not so far for 20 minutes.
An adult leisured life that returns to the resort of the unexplored region after it enjoys the nightlife with katabeach and sleeps finishes being skilled.

Friendly staffs, Good location, Privacy
Old facility, not so well maintenance
The hotel locate in very nice view point and so privacy, not too difficult to go other beach, can walk to Nai harn beach or rent car/mortorbike to all other beaches. All staffs have nice service mind, helpful. The swimming pool is not so good maintenance. Room facility is good but abit old, i got wooden room and found it's nice, just that have abit noisy from air-con.
Restaurant Tip : Better go to Rawai beach for dinner, there have a lot of nicer restaurants.

At the very end of Phuket Island. Very quiet.
Can't swim in the private rock beach.
It was still an above average experience. Hided in a very end location, we have really nice private space. We can still travel to the city by riding a bike, but just a pity that we can't enjoy swimming in the private beach, which is just for viewing only.

Very beautiful garden and location. Very nice and devoted staff. Very good breakfast and excellent Thai food. Amazing Thai massage, very relaxing.
The balconies of the beachfront deluxe bungalows are not enough secure with little children.
On the right there is a nice and small beach but some dirty water from bungalows goes to the sea and pollute the rock.
Baan Krating is a ideal place if you search peaceful nature and calm. It is a very good choice for families. If you search a touristic place with a intensive nightlife, it is not the best place for you. We spend 2 wonderful weeks with our 2 children there : the nature and the sea are beautiful and the staff is really very nice.
Travel tip : If you would make short trips (about 30mn to go there by boat) in island in the south of phuket island, we suggest to go from baan krating to Rawai beach and take to coral island a small Thai boat (about 1000 bht go and return), it is better than take an expensive trip in agency to kai island with too many people. In coral you will have less people on the beach and free to change your destination with the skipper (ours named Weng) if you change your mind and to test an other place (beach or island).

Private location with good snorkeling.
WI-FI internet was not working. Some lights in and out side the room was broken.
In total this was a very pleasant 6 night stay. Excellent sea view from our beach front bungalow with nice standard.
Upon the day of arrival we found our room with beautiful flower arrangement on the bed and fresh fruit on a side table. When comparing with other hotels (with similar price) in and around Phuket during our 2 week stay this was the best value for money with very good standard. Since the hotel is located in the Forrest on a slope you need to be prepared that paths to/from rooms and reception and restaurant are quite steep and has steps.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dinner in sunset on hill-top restaurant across the bay.

- staff not really enrhousiaste for an hotel of these category\n- so isolated
The room of the hotel was really clean and beautifoul. But the beach is small and with a lot of stone and in the sea the sand only long of 3 meter. Morover, the staff is not really enthousiast and not able to solve small problem. Finally, the hotel is isolated, if you are not motorized, it will be difficult for you to eat in an other place than the hotel's restaurant.

Very relaxing quiet resort with friendly staff and a very friendly dog, especially at breakfast.
Lots of stairs to climb to the mountainside villas. The view would be brilliant if some trees were removed as we could not see the ocean
we had a very good time here. It is a nice quiet resort if peace and quiet is what you are looking for if not it is not too far a drive into Phuket to the biz. The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble even when we arrived at 12:30am due to air asia cancelling a flight the staff were there waiting for us smiling or laughing at us I'm not sure. As I say they could increase the view in the villas by trimming some branches off the trees which would create a spectacular view of the ocean. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay thanks to all staff.

The day I checked out and flew to Bangkok I found that 40 US Dollars were missing from my briefcase. The only place this could have happend was at Baan Krating and must have been a hotel staff. They did have a safe and I used it but on the checkout day during breakfast my bags were packed and waiting.
Hotel Feature Tip : The dog will show you around the hotel if you ask him.

Quiet, great service, secluded beach but close to Nai Harn public beach.
Need to have a car or motorbikes to move around, and it takes about 45 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.
The jungle resort was a welcome getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok as well as the busier beaches of Phuket. It was filled with European honeymooners but units were spaced enough that everyone felt they had privacy. Dinners in the evening were wonderful with candlelight and attentive wait staff that were not overbearing or omnipresent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent motorbikes to tour the back streets and temple near Nai Harn beach, as well as the coastal areas

Keep track of how much money you charge your room. When leaving the hotel there was a big confusion about how much money we owed for minibar, food and massage. They ended up phoning us on our way to the airport asking us to give an additional 2900 baht to the taxi driver, which he would bring back to the hotel. We did not get a receipt for this and still don´t really know what we paid for.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Nice snorkelling from the hotel beach.
We took a sea canoeing trip to the Phang Nga area which we enjoyed very much.
