fantastic location with beautiful rooms
the wraparound pool and the perfectly appointed rooms

the location of baan lamai was so good! right on the beach and only a ten minute walk to bangla road and all the main clubs. it was good hearing some music on your balcony in the evening.rooms were really nice too. definately worth checking in!
Restaurant Tip:
all the cheaper restaurants were behind the baan lamai and not on the beach strip!

We were given a free upgrade,which was a very nice and spacious new room,
The buffet breakfast and evening entertainment were very good,as was the large swimming pool.
It was evident that the reception staff were overworked,as the number of rooms and guests had at least trebled since our stay last year,but not the number of reception staff.It therefore took a long time to book out.
Restaurant Tip:
the restaurants in the nearby sois are very good value,but of course not as glamorous as those on the seafront road.

I booked the hotel for 3 nights as a single traveler.
It is located right at Patong beach; simply cross the road!
Bangla road is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and there are tons of food and drink places in the area.
I kind of missed the real Thai food a bit, since most are Westernised restaurants like Subway, Mcdonalds and Burgerking.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a trip to Phi Phi islands, James Bond Island or go on a fishing trip. If you are a diver, go diving at one of the many islands. My main reason for visiting was diving.

I live on the beach, Patong. To wake up, walk the beach. Service is considered okay. Rooms booked full, it took a better room at the hotel for In. I was impressed.

Great location on Patong beach, nice bar and dining area. The pool and rooms are good too. Three new blocks are being constructed around a pool area. Two are still under construction and there is some disturbance during the day. The design is good but lacks attention to detail. You get the impression that it was done on the cheap by a local inexperienced company, e.g. nice large bathroom, but just no where to hang a towel! and hardly any space around the sink etc.
Slightly unhelpful and inefficient staff too. I asked to change rooms as I was close to the building work. The pat response was that the hotel was full. They moved me when I went done to reception to ask again. And room service was poor. Two of our group didnt realise their minibar was not supposed to be empty!

At the time of my stay (15-19 January) part of the hotel was be refurbished. The hotel is located right across from the beach. The pool and restaurant/entertainment area were open and in my opinion the best part of the hotel features.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Wireless internet singals can be picked up in your room if the room is located near the lobby. Recommend when reserving a room get one on the bottom floor next to both the pool and lobby. Pool side rooms open right to the pool. Very nice.
