quiet oasis in busy karon street

had a nice two night stay at this hotel. the off-season prices were great. good location, very nice staff, very close to the busy main street in karon, but they did a great job with the design to create a feeling of privacy and quiet. comfortable and clean rooms

Great Hotel

We booked 4 nights at Bamboo house and had a great time. We arrived at the hotel at 9.30 am and were welcomed with a nice refreshing cocktail. Our room were ready even thought check in was at 12pm. The room were clean and spacious. The breakfast was not buffet style but was plentiful and very nice. On our last day they let us keep our room until 4pm because we had an evening flight. Each room had a LCD plasma tv and their own MAC computer, internet access was very efficient. We were given bottled water everyday and beach towels. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely go back to Bamboo House and would recommended it to our friends.

Great stay
Mini Mac in room, really nice pool, staff, breakfast and great location.

Loved this hotel so much ended up staying extra days. Its in a really good location walking distance of every where. Rooms were lovely spacious and had built in mac's in every room. Only down side was their restaurant was very pricey but so many other places to eat it didn't matter.
Restaurant Tip:
Must eat in the cafe next to the hotel (just the other side of the pharmancy, had no name). But food was amazing and so so cheap.

I decided to stay at Bamboo House because of the price. It was a short weekend getaway at Phuket and we did'nt want to spend too much on accomodation. So I did not expect much from the hotel. However, it turns out to be a surprise package! We knew about the mini Imac and free Wifi before booking as we read about it in Trip Advisor. So it was great to have it in the room. Big hotels charged people for this things you know. The staffs were very friendly and both me and my wife find them sweet and attractive. Breakfast was ala carte and just nice to fill your stomach but not enough to last till lunch. Location was good as its just a 5 mins walk to our favourite Karon beach. Overall BambooHouse awed us and we will definitely return there.

good location, not far to walk to the beach and right in the middle of the town. free internet in the room is fantastic, great breakfast

overall i liked the hotel, and booked it after reading prior reviews on agoda. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is nice and quiet even though in the middle of town. only very small issue was the booking of a taxi, which we had to do because we needed to leave at 5am to get to the airport, the taxi from airport to hotel is 500 baht, and the hotel taxi was apparently the only option available for us and is 700 baht, so those on tight budget should be aware. nice place for massages directly across the road, mother and daughter team, and nice and close to many nice restaurants. we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant apart from breakfast, but it was full every night and looked to have a really nice ambience

Nice small hotel

Its a very nice and cosy hotel near tehe Karon beach, we staid our first night in Thailnd there and we where impressed by the lovely interior design and good restaurant of the hotel. Staff was very freindly. It was near the beach you just have to walk along the road. I recomend if you dont want to stay in the resort hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at the Bamboo. It is in a really good location - 5 mins to the beach, and surrounded by shops/restaurants. The staff were very helpful and the rooms well decorated. Beds and linen are very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked for you and though we didn't eat in the restaurant it was very popular so it must have been good too. The swimming pool was small but lovely for a late afternoon dip. All in all its a great choice - perfect!

Disappointed by the small size of the room and bathroom. the bed is just 2 single size matress joined together and lay on the floor. I even discovers there are ants in my room. there is only 1 stool in the room and the internet connection in the room wasn't as fantasic as it states. the Mac machine they have wasn't properly maintain so it was like crawling and there are so many sites i can't even access "internet radio from AOL music"
