Near the hotel is a Mangrove Forest, Phra Tong Temple, and the Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Conservation Center. Also nearby are several beaches, but not Patong, as the hotel is on the opposite end of the island. Bangtao Village offers one of the few reasonably priced accommodation choices in one of the most popular tourist destination of SE Asia. Going around the island is relatively easy by either renting a car or a motorbike, alternatively you can get on a tuk-tuk. The on-site restaurant specializes in authentic Thai dishes, and after a taste you would not be searching for a fast food outlet.

Overall a nice hotel.
the floor tiles are a bit old, but the bathroom is very clean. The AC takes a few minutes to work. Friendly staff. Nice garden/pool view. big bungalow rooms.

Clean, close to the beach and good value for money

The hotel was located a short walk from Bangtao beach which was great, about a 20min walk from Surin (nicer beach). The room was nice with a comfortable bed, and cleaned daily. There is internet in the room however I had to keep logging in every 5 minutes on my phone which was annoying - however no issues on my computer. It was also very difficult for our taxi driver to find - directions in Thai would be helpful. I didn't try the restaurant.
