The hotel location is very good, near the beach, shopping mall as well as pubs. Service was decent in hotel and prompt. Only thing is that you need to pay for the internet access.

Customer service was excellent - all so friendly and helpful. Location is close to all shops and restaurants as well as Bangla road. Swimming pools and swim up bars were great. Rooms ok. Starting to get a little tired but still comfortable. Breakfasts were nice. No free wi-fi though

Nice hotel and Awesome location
The rooms are new and fully furnished with direct access to the pool which we loved. At the pool area you have a private jacuzzi available. There are 3 pools in the hotel making sure it doesnt get crowded during the hot summer day. excellent and friendly hosts as well.

we loved our stay in this hotel. the location was awesome beach from and close to everything. most days we just spent lounging at the hotel and dipping in the pool.
one thing to note is that the turn down service only came once in our 3 day stay. we didn't mind but it might be an issue for some.
Restaurant Tip:
Savoey is the best seafood in town. If you want to watch the "Tiger" shows i suggest you haggle your price before you enter. They tell you its a "free" show but the drink are off the charts. I was told 300 bath for a drink but when we got inside it was 500 for a beer and 800 for the ladies.

Cute hotel with good location, but a bit noisy.
Excellent pool and breakfast, close to everything in Patong.

The pool is really nice and the facilities in general are very well maintained. Location is key, but noise from the pool and lobby can often be heard in the rooms.
Restaurant Tip:
The Sea Hag restaurant is a great Thai restaurant with good seafood options only a block away.

Booking in could be streamlined,however this was not a major issue as the staff were so polite.Our room needed a bit of maintenance in that the bathroom door needs to be refitted so that it closes properly, likewise the door to the balcony. The bath should be removed and replaced with only a shower which would allow for the hand basin to be removed from the bedroom and fitted in the bathroom, likewise the power point for the hair dryer. The bed bases in our room border on dangerous because they protrude way too far from the end of the mattress; which gave a problem to both my wife and myself and several other residences we spoke too. The cost of local beer is excessive and thus reduces money spent over the bar. Ufortunately, most of the prices in Phuket seem to have increased in excess of increases in other parts of Thailand, both for food and shopping and i feel this will show in the tourist dollar coming into Phuket.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Banthai. My husband and I were travelling with a group of 10 friends - the hotel was very accommodating with ensuring all our our rooms were near each other in this very large resort - we even had an adjoining door between some of the rooms (which could be locked as needed). We chose the Superior Room with breakfast and am very pleased that we didn't worry about upgrading - extremely happy with the very clean and spacious rooms. Still had a great view of the pool from our balcony - only a quick walk down a flight of stairs to get to the pool. I think we would have found the poolside rooms to not be very private - you also would have all the noise from guests using the pool coming straight into your room.
It can be quite a walk to get from one end of the resort to the breakfast/lobby area, so would be a good idea to request a room in a close column of the resort if that is an issue - we were in one of the furtherest columns but with multiple pools for each area of the resort it didn't seem like much of a chore (except when raining!).
Highly recommend this hotel. Staff extremely friendly. Buffet breakfast the best we have had in Thailand. Booked all of our tours/shows through the booking desk in the lobby at reasonable prices. Very impressed overall and would happily return.

When I initially looked at the hotel site, the superior room that I looked at had curtains and looked fresh, however, the room that we were given had shutters, the bathroom was old and tired with mould in the grout lines. We had trouble with our remote control to operate the tv system and it took 3 attempts over several days at asking for the batteries in it to be looked at after I took the remote to reception and threatened to throw it in the pool. Finally got a new remote. Should not have taken that long.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Would seriously not recommend Phi Phi island, they do not tell you after booking trip that you have to hand over extra money before letting you on the island.
