Great location, friendly staff and nice room

Love the location as it's near the beach with security guarding the road leading into the hotel. Staff are also friendly and helpful. But do watch out for the mosquitos if you taking the pool access room.
Travel tip:
Bring sun block and apply if you travel in the summer

Great hotel, a few bumps here and there though

We traveled in a group of 6 adults and 1 infant. We had booked 3 rooms through Agoda. But upon arrival (3pm), we were told that only 2 rooms were available and we'd have to wait until 7pm to get the 3rd room. Bummer, because we paid for the use of the room starting from their check in time at 2pm, so we were essentially told to forgo 5 hours usage time. We understand that the hotel was fully booked, so their hands were tied and we waited out till 7pm for that room.
On the first night one of the rooms had a faulty air conditioner which only blew warm air. We rang reception and a team was sent to fix it within 5 minutes. Problem still persisted and they switched us to a deluxe pool room instantly. The next day, we received a basket of fruits with an apology note.
The pools (3 of them) were lovely, clean, and well maintained. And because of the way the hotel is designed, your room is never too far from a pool. So the deluxe pool room isn't a necessity.
The breakfast buffet spread was not extensive, but surely sufficient. Featured mixes of Asian (Thai, Chinese, Japanese), the staple American (bacon, eggs, baked beans), as well as fusion. Overall, the food tasted quite good actually.
Staff were moderately fluent in English. So if you communicate with broken English here and there, you'll get the message across.
The in house spa was lovely. Much pricier than those outside, but I would really recommend it. Spa staff were professional, courteous, and sensitive to our needs.
So... all in all, there were a few bumps here and there, but all of us enjoyed it. The biggest plus sign was the location. Right smack in the middle of Patong beach. Should we return to Patong, we'll be staying here for sure.

Our deluxe rooms were just a door step to the pool which was delightful to my children . Rooms were spacious and toliet were clean .Housekeeping has done a good job.
Although the main lobby is under renovation but there is no inconvenience during our stay from 04-Jun till 08-Jun.
Maybe Banthai can add more personal touch to guests by presenting a voucher or a small BD cake as that day was my birthday .If early check-in is allow for family with young kids would be ideal.
We did not spend time at Patong Beach as the waves were rather strong.
Walking to Jungcelong mall takes about 10-15 mins which is acceptable for my family .
If there is a next trip , I will consider to come back to Banthai .

Superior room is alright, but you should defently upgrade to a Deluxe room with pol acces. SO convenient with small kids. The hotel, the staff, the pool is very good. The pool bar is way to expensive. 150bath for a beer is just to much, when yoy can drink your beers from the mini bar for 40 bath. They should clean the pool moe often. Leaves and flowers was floating around. NOT nice.!!
I would stay there again though.

Checked into this great hotel but my daughter was greeted by a large creeping insect in the bathroom. The hotel staff was alerted and after a while they upgraded us to a superior suite!!!!!!! We enjoyed our stay for the 2 nights as the location was very convenient, just across the beach. We may consider staying in this hotel again in the near future.

This hotel is well maintain. It has a good location with restaurants and shopping area withing walking distance. Patong beach is just across a small road. The room is spacious and nice. Especially the balcony is facing the pool. Hotel lobby modern and hotel staff are friendly and helpful
