Because the location was so great, we went out every day, despite the rain. Bargaining is a must and we found that the best deals were to be found off the main street. The more you buy, the better the deal. Offer less than 1/2 of the initial price and then hold your own and never pay more than your price. Food is a great bargain and served any time of day. Walking along the beach is a real treat and a great workout.
- Restaurant Tip : We would highly recommend the Savoey Restaurant for delicious Thai food; inexpensive and adequate portions. We ate there 2/3 nights.

We only stayed here for 2 nights and were out most of the time, but that won't stop me from giving this place a thumbs-up. The rooms are fresh, airy and spacious. Each has a balcony separated by a sliding glass door and a sliding door with wooden blinds for privacy. There is either a king-size single bed or twin single beds. Baby cot is provided free of charge. A non-alcoholic welcome drink and fruit basket are provided on arrival. Air con is very effective, cooling the room within minutes. The pool is clean and not very deep (1.3m max) making it suitable for kids. A word of caution: we were located in the new wing, which presumably came up after the tsunami. Can't say about the other wings.
Check-in was smooth and to my pleasant surprise, they had no hesitation in giving me a room 1 hr. earlier (at 1 PM). Brownie points scored. The staff (at least during day-time) understand and speak English well. Night staff (mostly males) were not as well-versed. On check-in, they ask for your credit card as a guarantee and make a copy of it which is returned to you on check-out. On checking out, inform the clerk if you wish to settle via cash so your card won't be charged.
The location is great. Patong beach is just across the road with a money changer right outside. Just so that you know, pick-up/taxi/transfer is expensive in Phuket so it's better if you're located on one of the well-known beaches (Patong/Kamala/Kata/Karon etc.) Even so, some operators charge extra for pickups from some places but not Patong.
IDD calling is expensive from the hotel, even if you have a calling card, so beware. On the plus side, all charges and tariffs are clearly mentioned some place or the other.
Metered taxi from the airport has fixed tariff for different beaches (Patong is 44 km. from the airport) and comes to 420 THB. We had to arrange the return transfer ourselves as the hotel's was grossly overpriced (900 THB).
A tip isn't mandatory but even 20 THB will put a smile on most faces. Be
- Hotel Feature Tip : The mini-bar items are almost at market price! Must encourage this bold step by supporting the hotel's initiative.

The bar on the street is also part of hotel. Sipping some cocktails and watching people walking pass is just a good start for a night-out.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a small beach off Patong Beach to the south, called "Paradise Beach". Very worth visited!!
Relaxing holiday.

This hotel is highly recommended. My parter and I will stay here again when we return to Thailand. We couldn't have asked for better. We loved the pool we spent every afternoon swimming and having a drink at the pool bar. There are also shops and restaurants all within a five-minute walk. Highly recommended. This hotel made our holiday!
- Hotel Feature Tip : The pool and pool bar was awesome! Just grab a drink and head for a swim. It's so beauitful! It's hard to describe how much my partner and I loved this place.
