All in all, Banyan Tree Phuket is one of the best hotels in the island: location, facilities, service, guest relations, restaurants, food, etc. are perfect. Expensive but worths every baht spent.

Very good hotel but
The Banyan Tree is a fantastic hotel. Good location in the Laguna area not too far from Phuket and Patong. It has a lovely beach which shares with some other hotels with rather few people. The breakfast is superb with a vast choice of Asian and European dishes. It is a top hotel in Phuket and charges for it as such. My wife and I are just surprised that there were so many details that are missing when you compare with other too hotels in Thailand such as MO in Bkk or Four Seasons in Chiang Mai. The hotel looks a little tired with many small imperfections in the rooms, wall corners, worn out furniture. We had a swimming pool room villa and we realized that the water was running in when it rained in the bathroom. The toilet broke down the second day. The people in the lobby continuously asking whether we would have dinner in the hotel (which we didn't since I personally didn't find it worthwhile in my several other stays years ago). Last, I was rather disappointed when we were denied late checkout (at least 14-15h) after spending 7 nights in such expensive swimming pool villa considering this was my 5th stay at the hotel. All in all. It is a great hotel yet I find considerably better value and service in other places. the other side, it charges the prices of other hotels of Phuket. just a pity that being a very expensive hotel
