We enjoyed our stay at the Baurmanburi Phuket immensely. great location affordable prices compared to other hotels in the same area.The morning breakfast selection was great as was the staff.Plenty of smiles all round and awillingness to help.Our room was spotlessly cleaned everyday and having a pool access room was great with just a step into the warm clean pool.All the staff were alwys willing to help and also kept the surroundings clean and tidy. all in all 10 out of 10 and we will come again.

Overall Baumanburi Hotel is a nice place to stay away from the hectic pace of Bangla Road but still close enough to walk to (about 10-15 minutes). The rooms are good but a little overpriced - I assume the extra you pay is for the pool etc. as there are similar rooms available in Patong for a fraction of the price (admittedly they don't have pools though). This is a good place for couples and people seeking to have a relaxing holiday but if it's adventure you seek and you intend on spending most of your time out and about this place is a bit over the top and there are much better value options around.

Great set up, nice food and good service around the pool.

Difficult to communicate with the staff at times and pool bar service was poor.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : At the nearby markets there is a heap of bars. One called Blondies 2 is run by a guy named Mick (an ex-pat Aussie from Perth) who has great local knowledge and is willing to pass on a lot of his tips/knowledge to travellers. Great bloke - go and have a beer with him.

This is probably a nice resort but we were not there long enough to enjoy it. The pool and pool bar looked wonderful. Breakfast was good. Our only complaint is that we had a room facing the street- very noisy all night long. We would definately consider this resort again, but only an inside room.

Eeing so close to the markets made it very convenient for shopping at any time of the day. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach - which sometimes, when its really hot, is too far away.

• Restaurant Tip : Right next door to the markets is a really good food alley way - they sell fantastic Thai food at extremely good prices.

Stay in this great value hotel and spend the rest of your money for massage, good food, and island trips.

• Shopping Tip : If you can, save your shopping in Bangkok.
