Location good away from main road

Inititally we thought we were going to be well looked after as making contact from England to hotel owner was very good, with car picking us up from airport as well as arranging transfer for our next move
Receptionist had very limited english and a smile would not have gone a miss
Cock crowing all night just outside window
Air conditioning really noisy
We did not get much sleep at all, glad it was only 3 nights
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Fruit shakes and Fruit juices, really hydrating and delicious as well as a bargain price of around 50 bhart equivalent of a quid

Arrived late and it was a bit of a drama to get key, had to phone another hotel to get someone to get the key and show us our room. This would have been really difficult if I did not have a phone. But when staff arrived was very friendly and help with (heavy) bags to room. No lifts.
Overall the hotel is clean and the room are nice. The deco is intereseting. I would stay there again.

Great accommodation about 7 min walk from the beach. Cheap, local, street-style restaurants near by. I got a special deal on the room so it was definitely worth the money. The shower is really good, especially after a day at the beach. If you're looking to meet people this isn't really ideal. Also, staff are lovely but there are difficulties communicating in English. Overall it's a really great place.

4 poster bed very comfy, and air con strong. Rooms so big a ceiling fan is also provided for extra blast of cold,
Small kitchen area with sink and kettle. Big fridge freezer useful too.
Bathroom was beautifully done with a rather fancy toilet (flowers provided in the water tank!) and double shower, with rain head and wall mounted shower.
No breakfast but 7/11 just up the road.
Surin is a very expensive area with lots of 5 star resorts, this hotel is stunning and at a real bargain price.

this small hotel is off the main road which could be a challenge for some. the design features concrete floors and walls softened by floral curtains and cushions. the mattress is a soft spring mattress but not an ergonomic box spring. for a short term stay it is more than adequate. the linens are fresh and clean, the towels are good. there is also a sofa bench and the space could accommodate a dining/work table which would enhance the functionality of the room. the
bathroom includes a shower with hand held and rainshower head with good water pressure, a 'designer' wc and pedestal basin but nowhere to place your toiletries. a small kitchenette with coffee making facilities and potential for a microwave if you ask.
the minor gripe is that the flat screen tv is too small for the room and features only local cable channels not satellite channels. Wifi is available, but I was unable to connect.
All in, it's excellent value for money.
However, if you plan on staying in Phuket longer than a few nights, i would highly recommend hiring a car as taxi fares are extortionate, if you can get one and public transport is minimal.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Be My Guest. It is near the Surin beach, close to both Tesco & 7 11. Staff very helpful. Nice modern decor and a view from 4th floor. There isn't any lift there though so it kept us in shape, climbing the stairs.
We would love to come back to this hotel and stay there for much longer!

Quiet off the beaten track hotel

Relatively new hotel. However, not near main roads or beach or shops. You need to be able to ride a motor bike or be willing to pay for taxi or walk quite long distances 800m plus. Was supposed to stay for 3 nights for surffing lessons at bang tao beach but unfortunately was hit by tropical storms that caused mild flooding so ended up moving to patong beach for convenience.
