worth every penny
big room, nice staff, big swimming pool

when i first arrived here, the room was not ready so they upgrade my room as an apology. the room the gave me was so big, has living room and pool view. its clean and the staff was also nice (eventho they dont speak english well) and very helpfull. the swimming pool is awesome eventho a bit dirty. the food is so delicious. but its quite far from beaches. if you want to have a quite holiday with family, this hotel is worth every penny.

A nice stay amid the up-market Boat Lagoon marina. A big hotel catering a lot to tour groups - so quite noisy at times when groups checking-in & -out. Friendly service and helpful staff. No opportunity to try the restaurant. I will stay there again when I need to be in Phuket City.

Review of Boat Lagoon Resort

This is a lovely resort on the boat lagoon in Phuket, away from the more crowded western beaches. It is beautifully designed and maintained and the staff are courteous and efficient. The breakfast buffet included in the room rate is above average. However, the hotel has cut down on its in-room amenities to the point that what used to be a good three-star hotel now has the feel of a student hostel. Put the soaps and creams back in the bathrooms, put the coffee cups and packets of coffee and tea back and buy some ironing boards for housekeeping.

First stay at Boat Lagoon

All in all I would stay at the Boat Lagoon again. I was met on time at the airport and my reservations were all in order on arrival. Taxi ride was fell some where between death defying and suicidal. We were traveling at 100 kms + with sometimes as little as one car length from the car ahead. We slowed down once to pass a horrific motorcycle accident that appeared to have killed the driver. I have a Honda Goldwing 1200 cc at home in Canada and would not recommend visitors drive a motorcycle unless they are very experienced.
My room was comfortable and clean. It had a hot water kettle but no coffee cups or spoons. I just picked up some at the local store. The web site had stated a safe in every room however mine did not have one. The front desk did supply a safety deposit box at no charge. Included breakfast was basic and quite edible, however after a couple of days I was ready to try something else as variety was not on the breakfast menu. I wanted to check out one day early and talked to the front desk the day before, however they said no refund. I could not get to the agoda site to check my terms as the wireless in the lobby was very temperamental, sometimes taking 20 minutes to connect.
Restaurant Tip:
Small bakery towards the end of the boardwalk (walk towards the lighthouse) has excellent pastry, coffee, tea and sandwiches. Worth a stop.

We, a group of 3 people, spent 2 nights in the hotel in the last October. Everything is so fine for us for 3 stars rating hotel. We kinda like the Hotel and we can advise that this is one of a good choice in terms of 3 stars Hotel to pick for Phuket trip.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I like the scenery of the hotel which is full of yachts in many types, both mooring in the lagoon area and parking on shore (hotel area).

Friendly and helpfull staff
All staff are very friendly and helpful especially the receptionist.

Definitely want to be back if have chance as all staff are very friendly, helpful, and quick response to our special requested. The room is clean and nice view (garden + swimming pool). Location is not far from the airport.
Restaurant Tip:
Just a few minutes to Leam Hin / Krachang Pla. The food are fresh and tasty.

Teh boat lagoon is a mid priced hotel for Phuket which suffers a little from the fact it on the other side of the island from the 'action'. This can be a bonus and allow a very relaxing respite from Phuket night life. IT is situated within a marina which has many yachts and motor boats and next to the royal Phuket marina - which has some wonderful restaurants and bars.
The rooms at the Boat Lagoon are very nice and spacious, with the usual facilities. Teh breakfast restaurant could be with a face lift since it has been that way for a number of years now. However, it does look out over a lovely long swimming pool and the yahcts of the marina.
The staff are lovely and very friendly and speak very good english.
overall a nice mid ranged hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hire a car and get yourself around Phuket as taxi's start to become expensive.
