Nice compound, green large garden and pools Rooms already need some renovation, WLAN is not good in every room Hotel is built on a large green compound and athmosphere is calm and nice. Even if there are lots of rooms and buildings, it does not look like a huge hotel. Pools are nicely located near each building. Pools are large and water is clean. You do not feel jammed in the garden! Buffet breakfast is good and the variety of different food is large. Service in reataurants and reception is good.

3-4 different pools; 2 -4 - 1 drinks at every bar for daily happy hour; well presented hotel. 1 hour transfer from airport; bed quite hard; room floors dirty; complication with sorting out accommodation changes though resolved in the end. Nice, but brief stay at the Centara Karon Resort inn April '09. Desk staff helpful, though trying to sort out accommodation changes was a lengthy and uncertain process when we had to suddenly change our travel plans. Modern outlook; good location in karon beach near a few restaurants, bars, beach and street markets; approx 15min drive to patong. Would have liked to stay longer at the time - will probably try a different resort if we head back to Phuket again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Gorgeous Karon Beach only a couple of minutes walk away with plenty of room for sunbathing and beach side massages!

Swimming pools, towel service, breakfast with excellent concieges. severe sewerage problem (toilets backing up badly) and very poor service at reception (speak in Thai and ignore you). Very surprised it has a four star rating due to problematic sewerage system and avoidance of responding to requests for assistance to sort out.
Although swimming pools immaculately maintained.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Simon Cabaret, excellent show for the price.

Beautiful pools, good rooms, good access to restaurants The Resort is a very relaxing place to stay. The beach is an easy walk and there are quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a good time. The service varied, some staff were excellent while others were poor. It seems to be luck. I would recommend eating outside the hotel though as the food is better and cheaper.
Shopping Tip : Sneakers, Sunglasses and DVDs are cheaper in Karon Beach or Patong compared to Bangkok.

Nice breakfast, nice people, nice pools, chic and modern lobby & nice main building. Flies, flies and more flies in room, old tired building, not really near beach, be ready to walk a lot. We have stayed at some nice Centara chain resorts, but we won't be staying here again. It is certainly adequate with a beautiful lobby and lovely breakfast, but the rooms are old, dingy, full of flies and in need of serious refurbishing. I think they tried to do some refurbishing already but it needs a lot more. The bedding is nice, though. This place is far from the beach and be prepared to walk a lot if you are not in the main building. The kids' pool is very nice, although not very shaded. The lobby is very nice, and there is a 2nd lounge area near the breakfast area that is very nice, modern chic. The kid's club is okay. If you have a limited budget, this could possibly work. The smaller rooms in the main building are better, though, chic & clean.
Hotel Feature Tip : The standard rooms in the main building were much nicer (and cleaner) than the more expensive family rooms with 2 queen beds.

Installations, space distribution, information services and service in general. customer congestion in peak times during breakfast, cleanliness of water in the rooms. I did enjoy the hotel while staying in Phuket, just a little walk from the quiet beach of Karon. The hotel installations are all great, the reception and counter service was very efficient and kind. I had a room with jacuzzi and it was a little difficult to operate it as the instructions were not clear enough, but after try and error we could figure it out. The water had a little yellow color that I still don't know what it was, however it did not seem to be dirty.
Hotel Feature Tip : the travel agency and the car rental services in the hotel are excellent, we booked a trip to phi phi islands from there and was a perfect tour, maybe u have to pay a little more money but it was really worth it and we did not have to worry about anything. And for the island be sure to explore and rent a car, if they ran out of them they always have information of some other companies that can take a car to the hotel so u don't have to go look around.

Had a great stay at this hotel. We booked the Honeymoon Deluxe room that came with a Jacuzzi. The room is oversized, very spacious! The staff is very friendly, always ready to help in any way. The swimming pools are fantastic! Breakfast variety is not bad.

Very good quality at reasonable price
Clean, comfortable room
Very happy with this choice of the Centara. The hotel is not on the beach but is within easy walking distance. There are also many restaurants, bars and shops nearby so a car is not required. The saff were quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good and they had live traditional musician which was nice touch.

Upon arrival the hotel staff provide you with a refreshing drink and cool towel. You can book a taxi through the hotel but doing it through one of the local tour providers is a bit cheaper. Hotel charges 1000 baht and the local drivers charge 600 baht. There is no hotel shuttle to the airport.
Hotel Feature Tip : Spa treatments have several package offers that are not listed on the web or on the a la carte menu. Read through the promotional materials in the room as well as around the gym area for additional discounts or special rates. Excellent jacuzzi and massage facilities.

Location was quiet enough away from the main area but yet it was just a few minutes walk to get food, to the supermarket and get transport to other parts of Phuket.

I'm not satisfied with this hotel. It's because of I have to pack and unpack to change the room 3 times. Room is not good as 4 star hotel. I think I will not go there again.
