A hidden gem
Free shuttle boat to Naka Island, private and peaceful

chandara is a little hard to find, but once you are there it is paradise. our room was a studio (but the deal we purchased on agoda was an upgrade to a one bedroom pool with breakfast). hassle free check in - villa was nicely furnished with a kitchen but there were no knives in the villa. we didn't cook there in the end. full size fridge. tea, coffee and bottled water supplied daily. fantastic shower - bath water (hot) only trickled in so if you want a bath, make sure you start it well in advance. buffet breakfast was plentiful, make sure you get the chef to make you an omlette. excellent service. meals are a little bit expensive but still delicious. laundry service fairly pricey. free shuttle boat to naka island where you can enjoy a cocktail on the beach and enjoy a couple of hours swimming as the beach in front of the resort isn't suitable for swimming. beautiful infinity pool overlooking the bay. booked an elephant trek and white water rafting trip with the tour desk, who answered all our questions. if you are looking for a lively resort, this is not for you - chandara is the perfect place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of phuket.
Travel tip:
Ask for a villa with a view, we didn't have one, but would have been lovely.

Location away from noise a plus. Access to all facilties and beach welcome.

Very Quiet and secluded resort

The resort is very secluded and far away from Patong/Phuket town. Cab ride is at least 30mins or more and cost anything between 600-1000baht. It is also very far away from the main road and easy to get lost if your driver is not familar with the place. Their shuttle service is extremely limited to 1 trip a day at a specific time/place. You are better off calling a cab or renting your own car.
There's only 2 restaurants in the resort itself and a very small minibar. If you are planning to stay in the resort, you might want to buy some food on your own as there are no food available anywhere near the resort due to its secluded location.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Studio Pool room does not come with a private swimming pool. It only comes with an outdoor jacuzzi pool.
