arrive phuket about mid-night.
glad to have such a clean room.
just stay for 1 night, so don't know what facilities do the hotel has.
staffs in the front desk are quite nice!
the price of this hotel is cheap, comparative with those in the centre of the town and those in the beaches.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel has 4 floors but do not has no lift. If you have lots of luggages, I think you better tell the hotel you would stay in the lower floor.
Location is good. Just next to the local bus terminal, where you can take the bus to various beaches!
It has a supermarket nearby. You can get the sunscreen oil and other things for daily uses there at a lower price.
Also, it is close to Soi Rommani, the old town.

Fine for a night before a ferry the next day
7
Overall: Nothing exciting about the hotel, but a fine place to stay if you're getting a ferry the next day.
Pros: Most of the rooms are along a side street, so not too noisy. Room was clean, had all the mod-cons you'd expect of a city hotel in this price bracket. Mattress and other things all seemed pretty new.
Cons: Room was small (but not tiny); mattress was very firm; no lift/elevator.
We did not notice any mosquitoes or a bad smell from the nearby fresh food market which had been mentioned in other reviews of this hotel.

Great location, clean and modern
Good location, clean, modern but noisy
9.3
This hotel is clean, trendy, modern and service is excellent. Organised our taxi to airport 4am perfectly including morning call reminder. Well-located in the centre. The only thing is situated beside the market. Thai people starts working at midnight til morning preparing the wet market, driving to the multi-level carpark(opposite of our room) and talking. If you are not tired, it is hard to sleep.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just follow the map given by he hotel and walk about 2-hours to see the centre of the town.

Great location at great price
Central to local markets, good value for money, clean and fresh, small but functional rooms
7.3
We stayed at chinotel on two occassions for overnight stays on our way to and from the Islands.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and organised us mornign taxis on both mornigs we required them without any problems.
the local food and fish market is situated next to the hotel which is fantastic and gives easy access to fresh food, however this also means the activity outside the hotel starts about 3.30am amd for those light sleepers it may be intrusive.
One hurdle for some travells with a lot of luggage may be that there is no lift and we dragged heavy cases up 4 flights of stairs with some effort. This was a minor issue and we would definitley use this accommodation again

Good relationship price-quality
5.7
the hotel has a good location close to the market and the bus station from where you can catch the bus to the beach.
it's pretty clean, but has no lift and no restaurant, so no option for breakfast.
the staff spoke quite basic english, we had some troubles understanding each other.

Cheap Clean But No Phone Service At All
6.3
The biggest down fall that would make me caution any traveler to stay here is only on the fact that you can not use the phones in the room non of them work what so ever and if you go down to the hotel desk to ask them to call someone for you they wont they will tell you they will get in trouble and tell you to go use the pay phone & their english is minimal. :| This being a problem a huge freaking problem because my husband took a tour to James Bond Island without me as i was not feeling well and it was two hours after the tour was supposed to be over and he still was not back so I tried to call the tour operator from the phone in room and I was shit out of luck because it did not work. When I went to front desk and explained my husband was not back after two hours and asked if they could call the tour company for me they said no so I was super worried being in a foreign country and the hotel was not willing to help me out to see if my husband was ok yet their front desk phone does work. You would think a missing family member would be one exception for them to use their freaking phone for things other then reservations but nope your shit out of luck so hopefully your family member does not come up missing because they will not be helpful at all. My husband did arrive back safely though way late but I was so worried. You can not even pay them 2 call
However if you do not care about phone service We only paid a night and stayed two nights here. For the price this hotel gets 5 stars for the cleanliness but the down side of this hotel is rooms are super small, basically they are big enough to fit a bed & a desk but for a night what do you expect. Their is no amenities on this property what so ever however they do have a coffee pot but guess what even the coffee costs at this place so basically you pay for anything extra besides the room which is not much because they do not have any extras besides some coffee and cup o noodle

Great Hotel, by Thailand Standards; Overall, OK.
Good Location near Local Bus Terminal, Food, and Chinatown
7.3
The hotel was good by Thailand Standards, although definitely sub-par based on standards found in Eastern China, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc.
The rooms were relatively nicely decorated, the floors and beds were clean, the air conditioner worked (if you waited about 1 hour for it to "warm up"), and there was hot water (although the temperature was not stable). There was internet, although it was quite slow.
The good location was a great benefit of this hotel: it is steps away from the local bus station with transport both quick and reliable (all drivers have licenses and drive safely) to all over Phuket, including some places that are beautiful and that locals frequent, but tourists seem to never go to; it is near Chinatown which has inexpensive places to eat and shop; it is near a lot of good vegetarian food because of the guan yin temple.
As typical in Thailand, you cannot drink the water anywhere, and you certainly cannot brush your teeth with it. The workers are friendly enough, if you speak either Thai or Chinese, if not, good luck communicating!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is definitely worth a trip to Wat Phra Thong, more so than any other temple outside of the Guan Yin Temple in Phuket town. The Guan Yin Temple in Phuket town is the oldest in all of Phuket and is a Chinese Buddhist Temple. Wat Phra Thong is a Thai temple, built on top of an older Chinese temple. For these reasons, they are both unique: but it is much tougher to get to Wat Phra Thong. You need to take the public bus and ask the driver where to get off, and then walk 500 meters. But it is so peaceful and empty of Western tourists (although the Chinese and Koreans seem to like it): making it definitely worth the trip.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile
8.7
for the price this is an amazing deal. it is really the perfect hotel: big, comfortable beds, air con that you can control easily, t.v., super clean and bright throughout, computers in the lobby and wifi otherwise. only one real drawback and that is it's a bit stinky outside the front door — i think sewer or the big early morning market across the street may drain chicken or meat-chopping water into the road. it's on a side street and my taxi driver didn't know where it was at first (probably because it's new) but he made a call and then found it easily. it was perfect for me the night before a flight and the hotel booked a taxi for me at 6 a.m. that i prepaid. (— nearly a 45 minute drive). some may find the absence of a restaurant in the hotel a problem, but i found a great restaurant nearby and found plenty of snacks along the way. plus they offer noodle cups, coffee and drinks in the fridge for a very small price. i would definitely stay there again, for even longer next time, and explore phuket town.
