Good Breakfast.
Nice Swimming Pools (two).
Ample bedrooms.
Good location near Karon & Kata beaches.
Still a little dirty due to recent construction works.
Breakfast is served on a high & Steep hill.
Taxi drivers are a little heavy offering rides to anywhere.
The hotel is just what we expected after comparing all the prices of the resort type hotels in Phuket (Karon - Kata zone). It has a good pair of pools, an acceptable breakfast with a wide variety of food, ample bedrooms and very good location just a 5 to 10 minute walks from Karon & Kata beaches. The cleanliness of the hotel if well below our expectations, but it seems as if it had been under construction recently.
Restaurant Tip : Excellent food at Two Chefs restaurant.

Pool, personnel and close to the city.
This is a nice hotel with good food and a nice pool with 2 pool areas. They are right now re-building but are soon to finish. We stayed for 4 days and were satisfied over all. The hotel is close to the shopping and restaurants of Phuket and we recommend it, also if you are going with children.

The new wing is fantastic, and the difference in price is not too big. The swimming pool is great and so is the bar pool. Breakfast was included in the price and the variety was appropriate.
The room they gave us initially was in the basement suppodsely overlooking the swimming pool, but it overlooked a wall! The service was a little bit slow.
I will certainly go back to this hotel, although will make it very clear I would like to stay in the new wing, the room we were given initially was not very good (view of a wall instead of the swimming pool!) The new rooms are great, the bathrooms are modern and the deco is very minimalist and pleasant. Food variety was good, although service a bit slow. The spa treatment was great, although they only had two therapist, so we had to wait for all of us to get our treaments in.
Hotel Feature Tip : Request to stay in the new wing.

Swimming pool, new wing, great location
Old rooms in the non refurbished area, slow service
We chose this resort because of the reviews we had read in the internet. It is good value for money, specially if you stay in the new wing at the top of the hill. We had lovely spa treatments and were all very happy with them. The service was a little bit slow at points and the staff forgot a few things in our orders, but not in our bill! But all in all great experience and will be happy to go back.

The pool is great - quiet, comfortable loungers and bar staff who come to you!
The showers in the rooms are also amazing.
Restaurant is quite expensive.
No internet access.
This hotel is a gem. The staff were extremely helpful at all times, the pool area offered just the right level of tranquility, broken with the odd game of table tennis and the location was close enough to the action to be entertaining but not that close that you couldn't get away from it all. Also, having a Starbucks to the left was a particular bonus for a self confessed coffee addict! Great place to stay, would recommend it.
Restaurant Tip : For a great meal, go to Harry's pub in the center of Karon, it's Scandinavian but did the best all you can eat buffet we've ever tasted!

Pool was nice, and room was also quite nice for the price.
The staff was not very helpful, and too far from most of the action, and restaurants.
We liked the room and also the pool, but the staff were quite sleazy. They did not want to call us any taxis unless it was the ones they had contracts with so they could get a commission. Not helpful at all at the front desk to call and make dinner reservations, or arrange transportation into the city or to the airport. They overcharged and tried to suck money from us for absolutely EVERYTHING. All in all, they left us with a very bad impression. The hotel is far from the city,in a very boring area and does not arrange any transportation. No airport pick-up either.
Travel tip : Nice coffee shop with internet across the street, and fun band plays at night a few buildings away.

clean, nice pool, good location
can sometimes hear the music playing from the nearby bars, taxis hanging out in the lobby and parking lot always asking you where you're going
Clean, nice pool, pretty good location for the price. Not beach front, but we also didn't pay beachfront prices. Only a few minutes to either Karon or Kata beaches, which I thought was nice. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Nice rooms around a decent pool. Good service from the friendly staff.
Kata/Karon is quite boring. Wouldn't mind a larger pool.
Spent 5 nights at Diamond Cottage and did the booking through agoda. ~1800 Bath felt like good value. Large room with TV, fridge, coach and a nice bathroom. After 5 nights it felt like moving on to Krabi was the right thing to do - Karon/Kata doesn't offer much besides the (boring) beaches and touristspotting.
Restaurant Tip : Whenenver you want a break from the thaifood, Sorentos across the street serves brilliant pizzas.

very nice pool. amazing showers and receptionist was very nice
the price hike is huge from low to high season which is a bit ridiculous from one day to the next.
we were shocked at how nice this place was especially when it wass so cheap. we were there at the end of october and booked for the last few days of the month. however when we decided to stay on we couldnt afford it because on the 1st of november the price tripled!! other than that tho it was comfortable, restaurant was lovely, staff lovely and location was spot on!

Pool and great value when its not peak season.
20mins from Patong [main area].
When we arrived and saw rooms which we paid 16euro for (800baht) we were very pleasantly surprised they were impeccable. Two pools which is always good, table tennis and cheap bike hire. Overall couldn't find a single fault with the place. Price soars in peak season however, begins 1st of November. Two thumbs up high.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent bike to go to Patong.

location, staff, view from room, cleanliness of room, and quiet.
wireless internet is quite expensive.
this hotel was a pleasant surprise for my first trip to thailand. the room was very clean and the staff was more than helpful and accommodating. the hotel is located right in the heart of kata and less than a 10 minute walk from both karon and kata beach. the walks are quite hilly, but very enjoyable and lots of things to see along the way. i was a female travelling alone and found the hotel was more suited for families and couples, but enjoyed my stay to the fullest none the less. i highly recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : there is a string of restaurants along karon beach which all are all attached together, but each run separately. these restaurants offer great food at cheap prices and fresh seafood you can pick out yourself. i highly recommend you make a trip to at least one of them during your stay. i ate there everyday!

Great rooms - clean and spacious and many overlooking the pool area. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Nothing really - although could do with a bit of redecorating in some places
Fantastic value for money in a good location. Thought the staff were very good - were also greeted with a drink on arrival

This place was way above the standards that wee paid for. For the first three nights got a really good rate for the room, which was totally amazing! We thought that there had to be a catch somewhere but we couldn't find it anywhere!! This place is like a five star hotel with brilliant amenities and lovely staff. We booked tours there and a motorbike which was great way to get around the island. Unfortunately the prices tripled or even quadrupled on the 1st of November which is inconvenient for young travelers like us who are more or less budgeting. Can't complain about anything else though!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : They have great deals on tours to Phi Phi islands in the hotel travel agency and great prices on motorbikes and helmets!

(1) Nice Pool, Big Room with good decor and ambience
(2) Walking distance to Kata Beach (which is a great place for sunset)
(3) Good staff
(1) Humid room
(2) In an expensive area (Karon & Kata)
(3) Mosquitoes in the room
Our flight from Bangkok to Phuket has been delayed for 2.5hrs. Then, we took the hotel shuttle bus (180B/pax) and it took us about 1.5hrs. Not recommending to take the shuttle. If you have 2 to 3 person, just take the taxi. Slightly more expensive only.
When we arrived to the hotel, we were given a pool view room at the 3rd floor. As no lift, we have to walk up. We were really happy with the room as it has a big space with great view to the pool. After rest for a while in the room, we suddenly realize that there is a nail pointing down exactly to us on the bed; which is a ver bad omen to Chinese. So, we requested to change our room. Very quickly, the staff came and change another for us on the 2nd floor in different building. But we realized there is no pool view (which we book for). So, they changed another room for us at 1st floor. Only with little pool view and its quite a humid room. We don't understand why. Everything feels wet; even the bed and the couch area. Since we were very tired already, we just took the room (403).
On the last day, I wanted to try the massage in the spa. They open at 10am but the masseures only come at 11am. Since I've to leave by 11.15am to the airport, I have to forego the massage. However, you can just go to the Geckko Massage; just opposite the hotel. Reasonable price. Good service and ambience.
Overall, it's an acceptable and value for money hotel. The staff is really helpful though.

Clean, friendly personnel, nice pool.
Some services are overpriced compared with the surroundings.
This is the second time I stayed here. The hotel is a great value when booked through Agoda. If you try to extend your stay at the reception they would not give the internet price which I find really silly. Go across the street to the Internet cafe, make your reservation and come back. I would stay again here at the price of 800 THB per night. They have a fitness center included. The sauna is not included and it takes too many arrangements and planning to visit the Jacuzzy. I never ate at the restaurant, it is a little overpriced and for that reason it is always empty. If you are renting a bike you can get one down the street for less.
Restaurant Tip : Sorrento across the street has excellent food. Karon beach is 10min walk from the hotel, when you exit the hotel go right. The beach is one of the best in Phuket.
