Swimminmg pool area lovely, rooms clean and tidy. Good location. staff extremeely helpful!

Only thing was the food was not great.

The Hotel was very nice and well worth the money. Pool area nice and clean. Staff were extremely helpful upon arrival and departure. The only disappointment would be the food but having said that would definately stay again and just not eat at hotel, it was overpriced!

good service, good lanscape, big swimming pool and restaurant and spa are great.

the water pressure in the bathroom is too low for bathing.

suitable for couple and the location is good. just across the hotel there are many bars and restaurants, also for those who like shopping, you can get more bargain here.

Restaurant Tip : the ambience at diamond cottage restaurant are very romantic for couples. The spa too is good.

Staff were really nice upon arrival - we were given moist towels to wipe our faces and driven up to our room. The pool was a great area. The facilities were really clean and well kept! Great resort to stay in.

Only con is that there were slight inconsistencies when the maid did our room (e.g. forgot to replace 2 towels; just gave us 1). Not really a big deal.

Great hotel to stay in if you are looking to relax. Nice that it was between Karon beach and Kata beach, but not much night life around (at least not the same as Patong). There are convenient places to eat all around (including Starbucks!) and the beach which is a 3 minute walk away is amazing. You can also book tours through the hotel or at the booths within the area to go to do watersports, etc. The pools that this hotel has are very nice and a great place to spend the day.

-Spacious room -Short walk to Kata & Karon Beach -Near 7/11 and other Shops

-No breakfast -Small hotel area -No room safe deposit box.

I've stayed in Diamond Cottage's standard room for 2 nights. the best pros they have is the spacious standard rooms, although a bit dated. we didn't get free breakfast. swimming pool was medium sized. Didn't check out the gym. Spa was often full. have to book a day early. overall the stay was okay.

Shopping Tip : clothings, accesories, etc from next door shops are overpriced, you'll have to bargain well.

lovely pool areas, varied breakfast, friendly staff, and great location.

None

Diamond Cottage is a lovely relaxing place to stay in the Kata/Karon area. It is only 5-10 min walk to either beach and shops and restaurants are on route. We stayed in the old wing and it was really nice so i see no need to upgrade to the new wing. However i think it is worth having a pool view room as its much nicer Restaurant great for breakfast but evening meal prob better at one of the local restaurants eg "Kwong seafood" or "on the rocks" . Have stayed in 5 star places before and although Diamond cottage doesn't quite have all the minute details of this it is a real bargain and i would def stay here again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : dive asia next door is fantastic if you want a dive trip

Very friendly staff, golf buggy drives you to your room, good size pool and nice grounds. Good value for money for the price of our discounted room.

Pool area looks bigger in photograph than it does in real life. Our room was up a very steep driveway. You need a scooter to get to the beach without working up a sweat.

Restaurant Tip : When you leave the driveway turn right and walk down the hill.. there is a really great breakfast buffet for 100 baht per person, (kata beach rooms) and across the road is a really friendly and helpful lady who rents out scooters and gives you help booking things. Highly recommended.

Nothing unless you get a rather more expensive room on the upperside.

Hotel's cancellation policy, do not book this hotel unless you are very sure that you want to stay here. Rooms are small and not clean.

We booked this hotel for 8 nights, when we arrived we got a room by the parking area, small and dirty.Breakfast is served at the upperside, even staff is using golf cars to go there. We checked in and after some hours we decided to throw our money and moved to another hotel. One point; Karon Beach is mostly for families, nothing much to do and rather expensive. If you will stay longer then couple of days, stay around Patong beach. One way taxi costs around 300-400 Baht to Patong.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tours are rather expensive if you book at Karon/Kata beach, you can get the same tours for almost half price at Patong due to competition. Prices on the brochures are just written.

Villa Rooms were little bungalows with private balcony. Best Breakfast out of 7 resorts we visited in Thailand. Near Shopping and Beaches

From Villas and lower hotel area you had to walk quite a ways to get to breakfast buffet at back of resort.

Diamond Cottage was our first resort in Phuket and my wife and I really enjoyed it. We found Karon Beach area quite busy but as busy as it was it was still better than Patong. The Resort is about 10 minute walk from the Beach and about 15 minute walk to Kata Beach. We enjoyed Kata beach more than Karon as it was cleaner with better views. If you are looking for night life the bars are 10 minutes away. All the streets in the area are lined with shops offering whatever you may be looking for. If you are looking to relax you may want to stay by the pool or go to Railay.

Shopping Tip : Abundance of Markets with everything you may be looking for. Karon Beach is pretty busy and littered. Kata Beach much cleaner and enjoyable.

We had a wonderful experience at this resort. Our allocated room was big, clean and typically Thai in design and decor which was very endearing. The room was more like a suite, it contained a small luncheon table. Bay window with inbuilt Setee.Dressing table and chair. The room also had a balcony overlooking one of the three pools. The bathroom was clean and large with extra towels. Television channels offered a range of popular movies. The hotel was built in levels into the side of a hill and went back a long way each level included a pool. There were sufficient pool lounge chairs for guests and also a well stocked pool bar which offered, happy hour every afternoon. Also, several game tables were available for guests to enjoy. Another wing had the gym and spa facilities. Further back and up a level was another restaurant which was used for the breakfast area, (The breakfast was sumptious and a fine experience)and barbecue nights and also an internet room was available on this level. The staff were always friendly, courteous and efficient. The resort is only a 10 minute walk from the beach which allows the time to take in the scenery and hub of everyday life along the way. It’s hard to believe that this resort is near so much activity as it is very quiet and peaceful thanks to the layout and how it is set back from the road. The resort restaurant is very good but there are many restaurants close by to choose from at affordable prices as well.

Tours through the hotel are very expensive. No room safe was available. Safes are at front reception. No air-conditioning in the gym. There are golf buggies to drive guests up to the breakfast restaurant if walking is a strain. This can be a problem for elderly travellers.

We had a wonderful experience at this resort. Our allocated room was big, clean and typically Thai in design and decor which was very endearing. My teeanage son used the gym for the full duration of our stay.He enjoyed it alot but would have liked it better if it had been air-conditioned. He was also happy with the movie selections on the Television. The resort is traditional Thai architecture at its best. The hospitality of the staff is very welcoming and helpful. On our last day and after our check out, we were encouraged to use the pool facilities and a room to shower in before we left later in the day for the airport, at no extra charge.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Buy a few extra supplies from local 7/Eleven delis to reduce meal & drink costs. When buying dvd’s ask for quality checking to minimise duds. I paid 50baht each new dvd. Book tours through local tour agencies along the street as there are many to choose from offering similar deals at reduced prices to the ones offered by hotel. We went on the Phi Phi Island Cruise which included snorkelling, lunch on the island and there was an underwater aquarium on the boat where fish swam around your legs/body while you fed them scraps of bread. Along the cruise there was a commentary on the Island where the film, The Beach starring Leonardio Di Caprio was filmed. Many tourists took photos as the yacht cruised past. The setting was extremely beautiful. Throughout the day Fresh fruit , croissants, coconut juice fresh from coconuts were served. When booking transfers to and from airport best do through hotel as it works out cheaper and safer in the long run rather than going through the taxis waiting at airport. Local tuk tuks, local taxi’s are a cheap way to travel around Phuket but agree on the overall price and time frame before agreeing to the transport.

-good location b/w karon and kata beach but still a litte of walk to beach -we ate dinner at hotel restaurant and fresh seafood very good

-hotel room dirty -only super hot water came out of taps so had to use shower to wash hands, face. -shower water hot then cold then hot again

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our week in phuket. We didn't find hotel anything special. It was our least favorite hotel we stayed at. Room and shower was dirty. Water from sink tap super hot only so had to use shower water to wash hands, face. Room small. A little bit of a walk to beach and had to walk up hill to our room at back of hotel. We expected more for the price we paid. We won't stay here again.

Good price/value relation

View from balcony was to back of another building

Staff was very friendly - they never missed a chance to invite to the club car and deliver right to the door of your room. Room wasn't cleaned well before us - there was sticky stain on the floor. 10 minutes walk to to the Karon beach, Dino park mini-golf is nearby too - good place to dine (lobsters are cheaper here).

Location. Staff. Food. Spa. Room appointment.

Steep hike up to the breakfast area. Not a concern if you are healthy, but maybe for elderly and younger children. Watch your step! Like most places we visited in Thailand there are odd (unexpected) steps here and there and my wife took a fall on one that could have left an older person in serious trouble.

We stayed in a Villa for 4 nights December 26-30, 2008. The reception was very nice after a long trip to Thailand. Restaurant serves great food at a reasonable price. Grounds and overall appearance are good. Location is near the action, resaurant options, shops, etc, and close to beach (5 min walk to Karon Beach), but resort offers a peaceful escape if you want it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Massage was excellent. Breakfast (included) was excellent.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If venturing on your own, check with hotel staff for costs of transportation and directions. From the Phuket Airport use taxi stand to the right as you exit the airport, not the drivers offer rides at the exit. Should pay about 350-400 B (40-50 min).

Good Breakfast. Nice Swimming Pools (two). Ample bedrooms. Good location near Karon & Kata beaches.

Still a little dirty due to recent construction works. Breakfast is served on a high & Steep hill. Taxi drivers are a little heavy offering rides to anywhere.

The hotel is just what we expected after comparing all the prices of the resort type hotels in Phuket (Karon - Kata zone). It has a good pair of pools, an acceptable breakfast with a wide variety of food, ample bedrooms and very good location just a 5 to 10 minute walks from Karon & Kata beaches. The cleanliness of the hotel if well below our expectations, but it seems as if it had been under construction recently.

Restaurant Tip : Excellent food at Two Chefs restaurant.
