Unbelievable service

We stayed at the Dusit Thani for three nights and it was definitely not enough time. The resort is located about forty five minutes from the busy city of Patong on Phuket. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the laguna Villas and they were exquisite. The rooftop pool and outdoor showers were wonderful and the villas were open, bright, beautifully decorated and spacious. The beds were comfortable and luxurious and wonderfully clean. I can't say enough about the service at the hotel. I felt like visiting royalty.
The public pool was not as spacious as I would have liked and the beach area although beautiful was could use some updating. In a pool villa , this wasn't an issue since we always used our rooftop pool. Some of the best pool food I have ever had.
Would definitely return.
Travel tip:
It is a bit far from the nightlife in patong but taxis are easily accessible and if you don't mind the long ride, about $21.00 each way.

we stayed in a club room for 4 nights, which had walk on access to the garden and beach. room air con wasn't working in rm so we were eventually moved by the 3rd night, maintenance staff did not seem to be on the same page as guest relations staff who were all very friendly, but didnt follow up with us which was disapointing ... we had to do the pushing with a smile complementary red wine was provided for our inconvenience.
all staff were very friendly and the club room had breakfast in the tratatori beach restaurant which was just lovely, with an excellent variety of items to choose from.
if travelling with toddlers restaurant staff seemed very keen to look after and entertain them while you eat.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take advantage of the complementary afternoon High Tea @ 3pm in the Horizon lounge and Cocktail hour between 6&7pm. Both a great way to wind down the day.
There is a kids club and activities abound however for the over 4,s only. Just outside the Hotel 50 m there are shops run by Laguana with a mini mart. pricey but still cheaper than the long ride to the nearest others.

Great location but small rooms
Good restaurants with good quality of food & service, hotel people is very nice

My wife is getting sick (dizzy) on the last day of stay and can't get off the bed. The hotel people provide me a very well support to help me to call a doctor nearby to my room to see my wife and extend my check-out time for two hours. It brings me a very good experience in this hote.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Call locate taxi to travel between hotel and Phuket town for reasonable price

Nice place for relax

we stayed there two nights, and have a room at 1st floor can access beach directly. nice place for children to play in pool, since can not swim in sea at rain season. more people in weekend, especially in pool. the breakfast is under expectation comparing the room price.
Shopping Tip:
if want to go to other place by taxi, can hire it at the beach. the bargained price is 1300 bart round trip.

Generally enjoyed our stay but certain areas of the hotel are tired and need a facelift.The bars and restaurants are very expensive and the quality of the food does not match the price, hence the restaurants were very quiet.Also a shame the very useful shuttle bus won`t go into the nearby village and stops at Laguna Waters.The beach could also do with cleaning on a regular basis. The hotel generally is ok, but does not warrant a 5 star rating.
Restaurant Tip:
Avoid the restaurants as they are expensive and not good value. Better value for money can be found in the nearby village.

A few things to improve:
1) Rooms were damp and had water on ceilings when air con was turned off at night. Reception said this was an issue in all rooms and and if wanted air con off maintenance had to come and shut off vents every night and come back and reopen every morning. We didn't want the hassle but ended up with water dripping onto our baby's cot. Couldn't leave air con on all night as even on low speed was noisy and cold.
2) Play ground for kids was very poor and needs a significant reinvestment. Angsana next door was 100 times better.
3) Pool a little cold compared to 2 other hotels we stayed in and lacked creativity and fun for kids.
