Beautiful surroundings,very nice building,very good service, Very nice area,very good hospitality,and altogether very nice atmosphere for any body,whether family with young children,older children,young couples,and any age couples.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Temples(Thalang&Chalong),Patong beach,Boat trip to Kokai and other islands.

very friendly staff, beautiful beach and sunsets. It is a great value fr the money. Enjoyed our stay very much, and the staff made it very welcoming. I think the buffet breakfast could be worked on a little, but that is not really a problem. The beach is great, and there are other nice spots right on the beach to eat. All the people and staff we met seemed to genuinely care that you ahd a good time, and did ther best for us. i do recommend the laguna tour to the islands.

The staff were great, plenty of smiles, nothing a problem. Room was great, view terrific, good value. Swimming pool clean and quiet. Restaurant food was expensive, and quality average. Breakfast choices didnt change much from day to day. The checkin was typical Thailand, very friendly and efficient. They upgraded our room to Club so this was very nice. The room had access out to the lawn and the low season quietness was perfect. Beach was very clean, so was water and beach vendors were minimal and non pushy, can very much recommend.
Only low light was the restaurant experience, the food was at least twice that compared to eating at the nearby beach restaurants, and the quality perhaps on a par, or less. They also advertized an early bird discount on the in-room TV channel that no one knew about, and we didnt get despite asking.
But I would certainly go again,

Out on a limb from anywhere. This is a great hotel for just relaxing at. There are a few restaurants to eat in that all serve very good food at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and the rooms well maintained.
Shopping Tip : Go to Patong for excellent shopping and of course night life. Allow your self plenty of time.

Very nice rooms, great service, great restaurants, nice big pools, nice people, lovely welcome at the hotel Nothing to report - all in all - a GREAT stay! What more to think about - this is without doubt the best hotel in the Phuket area. There is alot of activities during the daytime, also for kids, great service - all service-personal are very kindly people - and specially the welcome at the hotel, we will not forget soon! We had a great time at Dusit Laguna Hotel!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are alot of things to do at the Dusit resort, the staff are very helpful with activities!

We liked the location beside the sea but other than that not much. The Spa needs improving as does Porter Services upon arrival. We have always stayed in Dusit ie. Bangkok and HuaHin and love them. However we were very disappointed with this hotel. The various restaurants left much to be desired and we did not feel that the menus offered a very great variety of choice. The Reception was excellent but more training is needed for the Porter Reception area where the usual smiles of greeting seemed to be missing. We did book a Spa Session listed as 60 minute session which actually was only 35 minutes long! Full price charged of course.
All in all we would not stay at Dusit Thani in Phuket again but would go elsewhere which is very sad as we have always felt very safe and secure in the Dusit Hotels.
Nightlife Tip : We thoroughly enjoyed Simons Cabaret as well as Fantasea.

Very beautiful and sweet. A bit far away from Patong Beach. This is the best hotel I ever meet. The hotel is very beautiful and facing the ocean. You can enjoy the dinner on the beach. There is a very nice seafood restaurant in the hotel. The room is very comfortable, you can feel the sea wind, and hear the sea sound in the room. Take tea in the lobby and listen to some music that is played by the thai musicians, it will make you feel really relaxed. Also you can visit the town nearby and eat some local food, it would be interesting.

We found the Dusit to be a very relaxing and easy going hotel. The restaurants were all very good with great menus and some lovely views. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. While not in the thick of things at Patong there was a shuttle service that ran frequently if you could drag yourself away from the pool or beach.
Hotel Feature Tip : There was a ferry and shuttle bus service between five resorts at Laguna Beach so you could visit all resorts and in some cases room charge your restaurant bill back to your own hotel.

On the whole a very satisfying experience.
Restaurant Tip : Instead of eating at one of the hotel's restaurant's much better (and cheaper!) to go one of the beach shacks next door on the Sheraton's Grande's beach. Take the Laguna free shuttle to reach there.

The hotel style is not kind to old people. Walking far to get the room from the lobby. If someone wants to go out from the hotel to the beach side, location is also not good much. But this hotel has private beach so that, might suit for someone who want quiet place.

Take a metered taxi to the hotel - it's cheap and comfortable. Also, make sure your shows and tours include round trip transportation.
Shopping Tip : If you shop out of the Laguna area, bargain hard as the markup is high. If you don't get the price you want, ask for an additional item for free.

Overall, the hotel is average to good for a 5 star resort. The facilities are ok, but the food and dining experience was not satisfactory. We visited nearby hotels, and the food quality there was much better.
