Nice staffs but room needs update

Room is nice but there is no chair to relax when you need to relax, there is a little stool, and two small stools in patio, that will not help me to relax my back, only I can lay down in bed to relax, I will never come back if there is no change in the room, need some chairs. Also no privacy if you open the curtain, the opposite building can see you thru the glass window. The owner should put some money to replace the chairs, put in double curtains.
Travel tip:
If you think that you will not spend much time in room, I bet you need to have a place to sit down in the room when you in there. Ask them if there is a full chair , not a stool in room before you book.

Great Hotel Still Working Out the Kinks
The Staff, the Rooms and the Internet (Free Wifi and Machines in the Lobby)

I came to FunDee on a sold out night and was put into one of the bottom floor "short-time" rooms. If you don't know what that is, don't ask.
A group of Aussies wanted to party the night away in the common area right outside my room and they were told they could not. +++
However, in the Morning the construction behind my room was terrible. Think of drilling sounds at 8 in the morning. After two hours of trying to put up with this I stormed out of the room and began to complain to the two female attendants.
I knew that the room that they gave me did not fit Agoda's guidelines as a balcony is a promised ammenity and there was no such balcony in my room. I also complained about the noise and that this was hardly a place for "Sweet Dreams" (FunDee).
They reacted totally professionally and calmly and upgraded me to a superior room for the rest of my stay which was fantastic. They also investigated what I was saying and contacted their marketing arm which decided (I was told) to form a seperate catagory for the kind of room I was in.
After a good sleep I apologized for my angry response and it was 'Mai bien rai.'
This might sound like a negative review but it is not. It shows how quickly and adeptly the staff responded to a problem in a relatively new hotel (7 months). Apparently they have all been recruited from 5 star hotels. I don't know if that is true but their English is very good.
Jo Jo, one of the male receptionists, is also a very straight-forward and personable person who helped me with my Thai. Apparently he had been harrased the day before my some swollen-headed cop from California. All I can say is that officer is lucky the Thais are patient to a point.
Oh, and they lost half my laundry. ;)

Superior room with excellent service
The owner is very helpful and kind, and the rooms are clean, spacious with good facilities.

We like the hotel as it was in a good location- few mins from the beach, jungceylon and the street night markets. The hotel is also new, clean and spacious.

We had very wonderful stay there. Receptionist lady is quite nice and helped us to safe keep our luggage. Location is very good with lot of things to see around. The place is near an indian restaurant navrang mahal, can found slightly inside a road along bangla road.

budget hotel which was good value. rooms were spacious with small en suite bathroom. hotel is close to the shopping mall and local market but is far away from the beach (at least a 15 minute walk). staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good english.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Request a room on the upper floors as we were in a window-less ground floor room adjacent to the noisy reception area.

Great Value for Money Hotel

must confess that we were a bit hesitant about the hotel when we booked it. we did so because of the reviews it got on trip advisor.
when we were there we were pleasantly surprised. the hotel was relatively new and basic. but rooms were very large (mine had two queen beds put together and then had room left over for two more!!). the staff were friendly and eager to help. the owner was very courteous and enquired many times about how the trip was going.
location was really good as well. shopping at jungcyleon was only 5-7 minutes walk, nightlife of bangla road 10-12 mins and the beach 20 mins. in addition the hotel had cheap scooters that you could rent for thb 300 per 24 hours.
the only complain if i have to, is that the bathroom was small (specially in comparison to the room) and had very basic amenities and no shower curtains. and at less than $30 per night, that isn't a issue at all!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Avoid Phi Phi Island tour. This was the third time I did it and the difference is stark. The place was crowded and dirty (with debris floating around) and the water too murky to enjoy snorkeling. Better idea is to go to James Bond Island.
Also the tuk tuk /taxi service is over priced. Rent a scooter than taking the taxi. (at least THB 200 per trip vs. THB 300 + THB 40 Fuel for 24 hours)

small hotel but room in good condition
quiet but near Jungcelon shopping mall

the hotel is situated in a new developed area. the hotel is small and is not easily seen at the main road. it is opposite to the apk hotel and tony tony restaurant. the room is clean and room size is ok. it is about 5 to 10 minutes' walking distance to the busy street, bangla road (a lot of night life and bars) and the famous shopping complex, jungcelon, where you can find big c, robinson department store and lots of dining places. hotel staff is pleasant and there is a little cafe at the ground floor. in general, we are quite satisfied with our stay there.
