Great Value for Money Hotel

must confess that we were a bit hesitant about the hotel when we booked it. we did so because of the reviews it got on trip advisor.
when we were there we were pleasantly surprised. the hotel was relatively new and basic. but rooms were very large (mine had two queen beds put together and then had room left over for two more!!). the staff were friendly and eager to help. the owner was very courteous and enquired many times about how the trip was going.
location was really good as well. shopping at jungcyleon was only 5-7 minutes walk, nightlife of bangla road 10-12 mins and the beach 20 mins. in addition the hotel had cheap scooters that you could rent for thb 300 per 24 hours.
the only complain if i have to, is that the bathroom was small (specially in comparison to the room) and had very basic amenities and no shower curtains. and at less than $30 per night, that isn't a issue at all!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Avoid Phi Phi Island tour. This was the third time I did it and the difference is stark. The place was crowded and dirty (with debris floating around) and the water too murky to enjoy snorkeling. Better idea is to go to James Bond Island.
Also the tuk tuk /taxi service is over priced. Rent a scooter than taking the taxi. (at least THB 200 per trip vs. THB 300 + THB 40 Fuel for 24 hours)

small hotel but room in good condition

the hotel is situated in a new developed area. the hotel is small and is not easily seen at the main road. it is opposite to the apk hotel and tony tony restaurant. the room is clean and room size is ok. it is about 5 to 10 minutes' walking distance to the busy street, bangla road (a lot of night life and bars) and the famous shopping complex, jungcelon, where you can find big c, robinson department store and lots of dining places. hotel staff is pleasant and there is a little cafe at the ground floor. in general, we are quite satisfied with our stay there.

Favorite hotel in Patong
New hotel with great location

I stayed two nights, this was my favorite hotel in Patong out of 5 hotels, due to its location and accommodation quality. Cheap same day laundry service and they can arrange ride to airport. Recommended and will stay again.
Nightlife Tip:
Bangla road is just a 5 minute walk west, the main night life area.

expected a lot from this little hotel as i had read wonderful reviews about it and fundee exceeded my expectations. staff are very friendly and attentive. rooms are very clean and comfortable.common areas are also very clean.
the location of the hotel is convenient to all things patong beach. a few minute walk to junceylon shopping centre, a five minute walk to bangla road and a ten minute walk to the beach.
fundee is a great little hotel with wonderful staff. i will definitely be recommending it to family and friends traveling to phuket.

Great hotel with great location

This was possibly the best place I stayed in the whole time I was in thailand, the staff were by far the most friendly I came across, the location was close enough to everything yet tucked away so it wasnt as crazy and loud. Enjoyed it so much ended up staying an extra 4 nights.

New hotel for better or worse

as we were told by the staff, this is a very new hotel (less then a year) and it shows for better and for worse. the structure itself is new and everything looks new and clean. the location is great, in a quiet place but a walking distance from soi bangla and all the night life action. the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable.
on the down side - no breakfast at all, and the shower has only almost hot watter (if you open the watter only on half volume you get warm water, on full stream it gets colder).
if you dont need/want breakfast in the hotel and dont like very hot water like me - no downsides in this hotel.
