great hotel if you want to enjoy Karon beach
Very near to the beach and restaurant.

Stayed here only for 1 night before leaving to the airport. The hotel was centrally located along Karon beach but need a little bit walk to the Karon town. The room is small but lovely since it was new. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My negative point was i only able to watch Fashion TV as no other channel.
Travel tip:
Dont stay in Karon if you decide to go to Patong because the taxi service/ tuk tuk is really crap and expensive. I had to pay for 400 batt to travel from Karon to patong for a journey less than 10 minutes and the rate was fixed. The was metered taxi service in all entire phuket!

Great location for fantastic beach & local food

We stayed on the 5th floor, quite in night for sound sleep. Room is big with loving king size bed, new and clean with big living room as well. Conveniently access to roof top mini swiming pool. Cafeteria offer reasonably good breakfast. Wifi is strong good for media connectivity.
Nearby has many choices of local food and massage services with fair prices. The beach is less crowded. It's nice for honeymoon and holidays lover to spend thier sweet time here.
I will stay in the same hotel on my re-visit.

Stayed in April 2012 for 3 days. The rooms are clean, showers work well, staff were friendly but not helpful.... Would not stay again and even tho the hotel is new and modern I do not recommend it to anyone. I rang the hotel and emailed them but no responce.

Great Hotel. Very friendly staff. The room was very modern and very white. It included a 32" tv, a big picture window, and a balcony. You are less than a 5 minute walk from the beach. Well worth it for the money.

first time stay in grand sunset hotel and i can say their service is good. i booked a deluxe room and they upgraded us to a bigger room and i was very shock that they have made such a service to us. i will recommend my friend if they are going to phuket for stay. good deal and good stay. thumbs up!

A friendly atmosphere created by the staff as soon as you walk through the main doors. Everything made clear to you upon arrival and any further queries the staff are just a phone call away. Everything you need in the room if you're not looking to stay in there the whole day...why would you? The beach is just a 2min (if that) walk away.

The hotel is generally great. However, being such a new hotel the furniture is already seems not well maintained & well-kept.
The hotel staffs are all friendly and lovely.
Rooftop swimming pool is superb though it's not big.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurant named "Elephant" in Karon main street offers great thai food.

lovely hotel with good service and location

We have stayed in this hotel for 4d3n. From the staff, we got to know that the hotel is newly built and was only about 6 months old. Room was clean and cozy. Bed was comfy too.
Just below the hotel, there were a couple of massage pa-lour and restaurants. Most convenient thing about this hotel is the location. The beach is just one street across and it only took 2 min to walk from the hotel. There were also many other restaurants and a night market beside the hotel, all are within walking distance.
The staffs are extremely sweet. Our stay clashed with my birthday and the hotel staff were so attentive that they actually took noticed of my birthday and even bought a cake to surprise me in my room.
I am truly greatly to the staffs of Grand Sunset Hotel for making this trip a memorable one even though I have forgotten to take a photo with them. They are helpful (thanks for guiding us to the petrol station) and friendly. Would recommend to friends if they want to visit Karon beach.
