Have stayed here two years running now and I find it to be a great hotel to relax and kick back. Well located with 2 great swimming pools and well designed gardens you will want for nothing. Great efficient staff. You pay a bit more but it's worth it.

the hotel makes a big effort in looking after its guests Need to cross the Road the hotel security Guards
will stop traffic at the front and side of the hotel so you can cross. this hotel is big on service, has Great Rooms, great food at its Restaurents and is centraly located. I would recommended anyone staying in patong to stay at the Holiday In.

We had an upgrade to the Bukasorn wing when we arrived. The rooms were larger and well worth paying the extra.
The staff gave an excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were immaculately clean and a turn down service was given nightly. Superior rooms were small and dark and were more like a standard room. It was definitely worth the extra to upgrade to the Bukasorn wing which was excellent, the rooms were spacious and we had a pool view. We were away from a lot of young families and it was quieter. The staff gave an excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even arranged a trip to the Holiday Inn Phi Phi Islands during our stay. The restaurant service and food was good. Our room was immaculately clean and a turn down service was provided nightly. We would recommend the Bukasorn Wing for anyone wanting to stay at the Holiday Inn Phuket.
Restaurant Tip : There are numerous restaurants to eat in outside the hotel which are cheaper, but beware of food poisoning!

Frendily Staff, Great Rooms, Hotel well Positioned,Great Service You can't fault this Hotel The hotel has all the fetures of a five star hotel
including Gym, Two large swimming pools, two
Restaurants right in the middle of Patong.
Where this Hotel Deserves their 6th Star is in its
Service, "With a smile". We dined in the Italian Restaurant at the Beach end of the Hotel Most Nights as it was the Best we found.

Location, staff, facilities Misleading room description Stayed in a Superior room in the main wing. Overall, a good hotel and a good choice for a first visit to Phuket. Location is ideal - lots of services nearby (on beach road) -- restaurants, internet cafes, laundry, tour operators, etc; 7-11 across front entrance), but just the right distance from the raucous crowds of Bangla road. Breakfast buffet had an ample selection. Staff very polite, but some front desk staff with limited English, so explaining any issue was a bit troublesome (e.g. stopped drain in sink). Only big rub was the room being called a "garden view room" -- "electrical pole and cables view room" would have been more appropriate. Also, they refused to credit Holiday Inn Priority Club points because we did not book with them directly.
Restaurant Tip : 24 hrs Burger King a stone throw away on Beach road - just in case you get back late (after 10/11 pm) from any far off excursion (e.g. Fantasia show).

Great Location. Modern and clean rooms with nice soaps etc. Great food. We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn - very luxurious. The rooms were clean and well set up - with pillows labelled "soft" and "firm". The buffet breakfast did not cost much when booking with the accommodation and was well worth it with plenty to choose from and very clean. We could walk everywhere we wanted to - close to everything. We will definitely be back.

About a 15 min stroll from main centre
Good breakfast Room view - nothing to write home about This hotel is in two parts; the more modern Vila section and the hotel bit. We stayed in the hotel bit. I'd class it as OK; we could have got an upgrade to a sea facing room but the uplift the hotel asked for seem a lot.
Thought internet access was a bit pricey, but then I've got used of european hotels giving it for free.
The hotel was really aimmed for familiy's; so the bar was a bit dead; though plenty of hectic bars in the centre.

Its location is excellent. Nice hotel layout and ambience. Nice restaurant. Many Superior rooms have bad facing balcony. We look out to the carpark and Marriot hotel. Practically no view at all. The older concierge wasn't friendly. The pool in the main wing is too small. The breakfast buffet selection is not good. Overall, a good hotel. Make sure you book a room which has a good view, else you have to keep the curtain on throughout your stay. The location of the hotel is the best feature. It is at Patong, walking distance to the beach and town.

Breakfast buffet was great. No cons that I can think of. Nice rooms, but make sure you get the one you want, if you have special requests.
Mine was not exactly the same as I expected, but they changed me to the correct room as soon as I asked, and the room was great for our10-day stay in Phuket.
The buffet breakfast is really good food, with a big selection.
If you stay here, get the breakfast-included price! It is worth it
I started every day with a full stomach.

We stayed in the main wing of the hotel. The rooms were generally clean and the cleaning staff was very friendly. The grounds were well maintained and the busikorn pool is amazing! The pool staff is attentive, making sure that you have towels and drinks, food etc. The hotel restaurant also seemed reasonably priced. The room had a leaking faucet. The toilet didn't flush properly. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust. We booked through orbitz and did not realize that there was a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children in each room. When we got to the hotel, the concierge was not very helpful or sympathetic in getting us an additional room at a reasonable rate. The rooms are not wireless and internet is not free. The grounds are gorgeous - especially the pool. The location is close to the "hot spots" in patong. In general, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms in the main wing could probably use a little bit of renovation. This may be the priciest hotel in the area and I'm not sure how the value measures up to the surrounding large hotels, but it was a decent experience overall.

nice location, value for money,cleanness, friendly & helpfull staff. We are stay in the main wing of the hotel. Although we stayed in Superior room, but the room size is just nice for us and our little kid. We had spend first 2 nights in Holiday Inn after we touch down Phuket. This is a very nice hotel for family those bring a long with kids. You can enjoy the resort facilities like pools, children pools and the kids club. But be careful when you bring a long your kids to the children pools as when get down to the pools as they are slightly slippery. The buffet breakfast was good and has a lot of variety to choose and with beautiful pool view.
Overall, that was amazing holiday with this nice hotel and definitely we will return to this hotel again .

Big & attractive swimming pool.Cleaniness well maintained.Variety of in-house restaurant.Great buffet breakfast.Good location, centre of Patong, surrounded with food outlet. Staff were not as friendly & assertive as expected-never offer to carry hand luggage.No staff to assist guest in internet room though it suppose to operate till 10pm-have to call them to come from main lobby. We stayed in Busakorn pool view room,we ended up at the wrong lobby at main building,the hotel receptionist who guided our way back to Busakorn lobby did not offer to carry our hand luggage though it was very heavy & there's a distance walk between main & Busakorn lobby.However,the hotel is very clean with big & attractive swimming pool in Busakorn area.The room is very spacious,with LCD TV & dvd player-dvd is free for rent in the hotel, but not many choice.Only disadvantage is there's not bath tub inside the room even though we paid extra for Busakorn room.Inside the hotel has many restaurant from local to western cuisine, but we choose to dine outside along Patong beach,just 5mins walk outside the hotel along the beach has plenty of food outlet, from local to international cuisine, plenty of fresh seafood to choose from, worth the price & taste good.I enjoyed drinking at the bar along the beach.The street is very happening even till 1-2am.Overall,holiday inn at Patong beach is superb, ideal for a fantastic holiday.
