Great, even the 2nd time around

I stayed at the Holiday Inn around 7 years ago, and just went back this month. I can't speak for the other side of the hotel, but the Busakorn Wing is GORGEOUS and the staff is beyond kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel can usually upgrade you pretty easily when you get to Phuket.

If you are seeking to be in the hustle and bustle of patong then this is the place to stay. I t is very conveniently located and the beach is across the road. the food selection and choice of restaurants are adequate , our favourite was the restaurant at the entrance to the hotel where we found the staff to be very friendly and the menue adequate and reasonably priced. The room was of a high standard and modern.

I liked our stay in this hotel. Nice location. We booked Superior room.
It is ample space. Reception, security, housekeeping people are really helpful and nice, but some of bellboys and waiters (during breakfast) were not very friendly. Hotel provided beach towels. Liked internal decoration: flowers, benches. Breakfasts are good. I heard about cooking classes there, but I had not much time to visit them, although this experience could be nice.
Travel tip:
Very close to Patong beach, in walking distance to Jungceylon shopping center, Hard Rock Café and other nice places on any taste.

Very central location, a short walk to all the shop and opposit the beach. The kids love the pools and other kiddy activities. The hotel room is very comfortable and new. The staffs are very good. We had seafood buffet for $30, it was good but not excellent as advertised. We always found Holiday Inn standards are very good everywhere we go. The room cost was reasonable for its standard. We would definitely stay here again next time in Phuket

great breakfast, great buffet dinner deals, location- close to all attractions, personnel was excellent and responded quuickly to all reqests,
reception was very helpful and concierge services too. Restaurants were very good. I spent some afternoons at the pool and it was great.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We enjoyed the visit at the Zoo and the Fantasea

Great hotel - ugly town
Large modern room, great shower, excellent breakfast. Pool and spa were fab. Food was good at thai and steak restaurants.

Unless you travel with children, stay in the Busakorn wing. Although I would have liked this wing and pool to be adults only, at least there's far quieter and fewer children here. The main wing and pool seemed way too busy for my taste. The Busakorn rooms are really spacious, clean and brand new, placed around a huge pool. The hotel's right in the middle of Patong - a pro for some, but don't think I would be comfortable here with children. You can't see the beach from the Busakorn wing, but it's within 50 metres of the hotel's walls.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I don't often visit hotel spas as I mostly find them overpriced, but I had the best pedi I've ever had in the spa here.

this was the best as It had great Service, well priced Restaurants with Great food, Nice large
Clean Rooms a Gym and two great swimming pools
plus one for Children Breakfast overlooking the
swimming pool was great this Hotel I would Recommend to anyone We will be back next year.

I have been to Phuket twice now and have stayed at the Holiday Inn twice. The feel of the place, it's location, the amenities and great staff and service really make for a pleasurable holiday.
I can't really see myself staying anywhere else. There is a great feel and ambiance about this place and I highly recommend it.
