Basic hotel with great view of the ocean.
Very friendly owner and really nice quiet location
7.7
The hotel at first seemed to me very basic. The owner of the hotel is really friendly guy. I got friendly with him and then he invited us to his birthday, which was great. The hotel is trying to sell you all the tours, which are overpriced. You can go to the pier and hire a boat for about 300 baths for 4 hours. The tours cost ten time more than that. The hotel offers basic breakfast, which consist of sausage, egg, tomato and bread. Just basic. I came here for 3 nights and stayed 7. The location is great to the beaches but you need to rent a motorbike to get around island or to the shop in town. The restaurant in the hotel did not cook, but when you ordered the food was brought in as take away from another restaurant. Overal its nice quiet place located in heaven. In general I would come back again, mainly just for the location and price.

Beautiful Manager w/ Bungalow sitting on ocean
Location georgeous - right on ocean - and own front porch if you get bungalow - manager of place is outstanding and very personalized to each guest - he doesn't just wait for corrections - he seeks out each guest to see how he might make their trip more pleasant or eventful.

There are many competing bungalow hotels on this georgeous rustic island setting. This hotels best features are going to be the wonderful location sitting right on ocean and the personal assistance of the manager of hotel. Without manager this would have been very different experience. He worked hard not only to book trips for people and negotiate a fair price but also to find ways to combine with other travelers to get further reductions in price and opportunity to meet some new people. The Bungalows are basic - like having a cabine except on the ocean - the room quality should be rated for what is outside your doorstep at a steal of a price versus competing islands. A few other bungalows had slightly lower prices but without direct ocean view - both the site and sound of the ocean rolling in.
Travel tip:
Rent a motor scooter for at least one day. A near must to really see the full extent of this quiet and curently very underdeveloped getaway. Many have scotter for all days there - a bike is also great option for other days. Then take the long tail boat for near full day visiting distant rock islands and beautiful coves out in ocean that combines snorkeling, relaxation and some hidden gems that look like they come out of some movie set.

The oldest best value resort in a Gorgeous Island
Best Magical View, Clean, Personal
9.3
Khun Thep was like a father figure to ensure you are taken care of in the resort. He made much efforts to meet your request even if it was beyond the resort's scope. I had been told, they kept the price so good to promote the island for more to enjoy.
The room is very clean and the windows are netted, so no toads, geckos can get in (which i hear from better resorts they do have such "visitors"). There is even hot / cold shower at this price. Certainly they can do better to refurbish the place, and I am even willing to pay a higher price if there are improvements to the place! :)
This is the oldest resort and only one with pink trees! that makes it look like Japan during sakura bloom period!
The view to wake up to, was amazing! It faces the East and thus sunrise is not to be missed! View was even better than Six sense resort in some way i felt, which is 300-400 meters away only.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The most beautiful sunrise and enjoy the nature's grandeur Je Taime restaurant was great service, and enjoy the bicycles, or scooters in this island that is hard to get lost in roads, but easily get lost in reality. Simple lives with friendly people around that are sincere, and just mixing around with backpackers, to the luxurious travellers in one little island.

Great views at an affordable rate
Great views on the Islands in the bay, good service, quiet and affordable, still has good WiFi in the room.

This is a great place to chill away from the beaten path. Nice beaches and several restaurants at walking distance. The island is not at all overrun by tourists but there are still things to do if you want some activity.

Resortsans prétention où règne le sourire!
6.7
