Lush and quiet location.

we enjoyed the lush garden and hillside vies of this quiet resort. good sized rooms although decor and room fittings are getting a bit dated. the beds are a bit too hard but overall a very well maintained resort away from the hustle and bustle.
avoid the food in this hotel. very average. much better options in the many local restaurants.
Shopping Tip:
Never accept the first price offered by any vendor in Phiket.

Lovely garden but service needs improvement

this hotel has separated 2 zones, one zone with kid another zone without kids. it's inconvenient for a family trip like us with one 11 years old boy and old parents to live far away from each other.
there's neither elevator in kid-allowed area nor in the 4-floored restaurent. for my parents, they are not satisfied with this.
garden is very beautiful with lots of lovely flowers. rest zone with books is unique, you can take coffee in the afternoon.
service is not very consistent, some receiption girls are nice and warm but some are very cold. tuk-tuk can only send you off the small hill but no taxi going elsewhere. you have to find tuk-tuk yourself in other stations.
Restaurant Tip:
Turn left after down the small hill of the hotel and the restaurent of Dimond Cottage is very good Thai restaurent with value for money choices.
There is no private beach of this hotel. Not very good choice for the beach as it gets across a dirty slot and there are many gabage over the beach.

the location of the hotel is really good in that it is situated near the beach. the beach is really nice, beautiful white sand and it is quiet most of the time.
all in all a wonderful resort and i couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Lovely hotel with wonderful service! They have really taken into a consideration guests safety. Hotel is located up on the hill, so it is on a safety side if ever another tsunami will hit Phuket. Plus there is 24h security "control" at the hotel area. Free shuttle bus service to the beach if you do not wish to walk there.
We really enjoyed ourselves and would be happy to return to the same hotel again someday.
Restaurant Tip:
Excellent Indian cuisine restaurant at the hotel!!!

The hotel, is situated on Hill top. not close to the sea. The sea view is very limited. Hotel facilities, and servise are good. Excellent Spa, but expensive. The hotel is overpriced, even in high season.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the Beach at Kata.

First of all, let me say that for what we paid for the rooms - This was a nice hotel. With that being said, I would roll the dice and try staying somewhere else next time. It wasn't so fabulous where I would "have" to stay there again. We are all healthy, able-bodied people but after several days - You start to get sick of climbing all the stairs to your room, or to breakfast or up the hill to the hotel. Definitely NOT for the handicapped or "out of shape". Beds were hard but we actually slept fine on them. Had a lovely Thai massage on-site. Room service food was good. Pool is gorgeous and well-maintained. Nice swim-up-to bar. Good Happy Hour. We travelled with four young children and so we had to have two rooms. Bit tricky as the rooms did not connect. We made it work but not ideal. Would stay here again. Clean. Good value but wasn't so impressed where we wouldn't try somewhere new next time.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you have health issues - Request a room on the bottom floor. LOTS of stairs and climbing. You can take a tuk-tuk (Taxi) from the bottom of the hill up to the hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The service was outstanding and the facilities were good.
The area is quiet but offers a good escape from the busy area of Patong. A free shuttle service was provided. Karan beach isn't more pretty than Patong but it's more quiet and good for relaxation.
The hotel is 5 min walk from the beach and they even offer a shuttle service down and up the hill.
Many nice restaurants are in the area, too.
Highly recommended.
