staffs are extreamly friendly and helpful. Quite some details in service are very customer oriented such as a radio and clock in the room, shelf for hanging wet clothes. The hotel has its own quite path to the beach, which is very convinient. rooms are a bit aged. Sometimes if the hotels get a group of young party cutomers, it can be very noisy at night. Pool adge is very rough and not comfortable to stand with bare feet, not ideal for young children. We had a 20 months baby with us,and we enjoyed our stay. The location is very convinient for shopping and adding up life needs. Yet I would not recommend here for those who wanted a break from noise and crowd. Rooms are quite aged yet service are rather good and timing. Food are good and not necessarily more expensive than the street.
Hotel Feature Tip : We really enjoyed their hotel in Karon Beach, and we are happy to find out that they can provide us free transportation from door to door between the two hotels, saved us a lot hassle handling lagguage.

Location is quiet, but not far from all the sites. No cons......it was all good My girlfriend, Sofiya, and I stayed at the Horizon Karon for 5 days in September, 2007 and had such a wonderful stay that we visited again for 8 days from August 6th to the 14th, 2008.
We were pleased to see many of the same smiling faces that were there in 2007.
We enjoyed the pool, spa, and restaurant. We never had any problem getting a taxi to travel to the local sites.
The staff was friendly and attentive during our entire stay
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Horizon is in a great location in Karon Beach; not too far from the Patong nightlife, but secluded and romantic.
The trip to James Bond Island, and Krabi are good enough to do twice.

- the grounds were spacious
- great mix of modern and traditional setting - distance of room to main pool The horizon karon was a great place to stay at and i would recommend it to anyone planing on travelling to thailand. The pool was great!!! Very good for families in fact. Great location just our of the heart of thailand ( patong). Having a compementary bus was a great idea and made travelling into patong very easy and cheap.
Shopping Tip : Great the bus into patong to save money on your shopping trip

The pool closes at 8 pm every night. If they have a hotel dinner by the pool at night it closes earlier. When we arrived they said they had to put us in another room until the next afternoon which meant we had to stay packed up and ready to move the next day. It was very annoying. We did not understand how this happened when our Superior Pool View room was confirmed at the time of booking. One tip that was very disappointing on the beach. Many women were topless which was very unattractive and embarrassing for a family setting. Also jellyfish were biting in the beach every day. Some people had welts all over them. They stung you like a bee.
Hotel Feature Tip : You are charged extra tax for everything in the hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Rooms were great, food fantastic, friendly staff.
Shopping Tip : Don't bother going to Patong to shop. Bargains just as good in Karon.
