good for budget traveler

1. The location : closed to Bangla Road - the center of night life in Patong Beach (5 minutes walk), near to Jungceylon Mall (10 minutes walk) and other shopping shop across the Jungceylon Mall
2. Public Transportation just across the Hotel (Taxi Motorbike and Tuk tuk)
3. Friendly and helpfully staff (the old lady was very nice and help us, but the young lady was not helping at all and little bit annoying )
4. The Air Conditioning was good

1. Actually we're not stay in Istambul guest house, coz we've been transfer to the other hotel next to Istambul GH (named : Sansabai Pearl) even we already inform to the receptionist before that we'll be late check in, but they wont keep the room for us.
2. We got a room in 4th floor and no lift there, so we should climb and brought our luggage by using stair, which was exhausted coz we arrive at 11:30 pm.
3. The toilet was flooded all the time.
4. The toilet didn't have jet spray.

Great Option for Budget Travellers
Amazing Friendly Staff, in the middle of all the action in Patong, Clean and comfortable rooms

We decided to go ahead with the booking for Istanbul on the basis of the reviews on Agoda but were a little cagey since this would be the first time we were booking a budget hotel. However on the day of the checkout we found out that all our worries were unfounded - we had an amazing stay at the guesthouse.
To start off we were looking for a budget hotel which would provide us with the basic facilities like a clean room and bathroom, working air conditioner and located close to the nightlife of Patong. Istanbul met all of these criteria but the best part of our stay were the people. The hotel staff really made us feel at home from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The room was cleaned without fail everyday and we had an absurdly early flight to Bangkok for which we were even given a wake up call at 3.15 am in the morning - since the guesthouse doesnt have telephones in the room the call involved walking up the floor and knocking on out door.
They have a desk to book sight-seeing tours at the entrance at the hotel and the lady who runs this desk "Mai" is a gem. She doesnt belive in just selling - she even recommended trading us down to a cruisr boat for a tour than a speedboat while refunding the difference to us. Definitely someone I would like to do business again with.
THere is a massage parlour in the guesthouse so if you fancy a relaxing massage at the end of a tiring day you dont have to go far. This guesthouse could however be an inconvenience if you are a light sleeper - the guesthouse is very close to Bangla street and the area in front of the hotel serves as a pay and park area in the evening when Bangla street nightlife begins. Due to this there is a lot of activity in front of the guesthouse to the early hours of morning. For us however this wasnt a problem.
If I were to visit Phuket again I would definitely stay at the Istanbul!!
