myself and 3 other people had a great 8 night stay at the jang resort. close to everything yet still able to find peace within the well appointed rooms.if you want to enjoy the night life or go away on a day trip or go shopping this could be the place to stay for you. we all loved our stay at the jang

Great location, spacious rooms, friendly staff

Me and 2 other friends arrived in Phuket 11 Sept 2012. It takes an hour journey by mini-bus (Actually they're vans) from the airport and costs THB150 per pax. Being quite seasoned travellers around the ASEAN region, we were quite surprised at the general state of the room. It was clean, spacious and welcoming, more than sufficient space for the extra bed we requested. The pool is also very clean and welcoming for a small resort. It was great to jump into the clear waters after a day at the beach. The hotel itself is about 2 mins walk away from the beach, and 5-10mins walk away from Bangla Road. Tucked just away from the main activity centres, it had the advantage of being both peaceful, yet within reach of the party scene. Very useful when we had to stagger back to the hotel after a night of heavy drinking. No need to pay for Taxis/tuk-tuks. It wasn't all good though. The shower of one the rooms we took had very (very) low water pressure. We thought it was the water pressure in general and just lived with it. But it turns out it was a problem specific to that room. When we took another room the 2nd night there, the water pressure was fine. This was the one thing that sullied our experience at the hotel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would return to this hotel on our next trip there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Remember to bargain down your trips/fares for any of the shows/tours you purchase from the people at the side of the road.
Also, rent a scooter/bike from THB200 a day and get around for much cheaper than you'd otherwise have too.

Great rooms, good value, lousy shower pressure

We were in high spirits when we arrived at the hotel. But it was given a further boost when we were brought to our rooms. Being quite seasoned travellers around the ASEAN region, we were quite surprised at the general state of the room. It was clean, spacious and welcoming, more than sufficient space for the extra bed we requested.

Restaurant Tip:
Various ambulatory food vendors will setup stall just outside the hotel. They each stay for about 20-30 mins before they move on and another vendor takes his place. For (much) cheaper and non-commercialized local food, you can purchase food from these vendors. We had some of the most amazing noodle soup and dry chilli fish for comparatively low prices.

went to phuket on april 11 for a week stay. incredibly good hotel then ever expected. in wonderful location with very friendly staffs. excellent food & services with lovely pool enjoyed more than anything. no complaints abt room services, will definitely stay again if i ever returned to phuket.

Good Hotel, good servive and good location

I stayed with a group, 9 of us for 5days and booked 4 rooms. Satff was helpful, friendly and always trying their best to service us to the best. They even come in early on one of the morning to cook breakfast as we had to leave early for a trip to the islands. The rooms are big and yes a whole range of TV channel.The hotel is in the heart of Patong action, shopping and eating. Its a nice cool hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a good Thai/Western restaurant that served good food and its prices are reasonable. Song Pee Nong Restaurant.

Staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling. They even come in early one day to do breakfast for us as we had to leave early. We found the place value for money and a great location where shopping and eating and sight seeing was a walking distance. Pating beach is just a 5 mins walk. Clean and rooms are big with a good range of channels.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a good Thai/Western restaurant that served good food and its prices are reasonable. Song Pee Nong Restaurant.
