Great location and service. Excellent programs (yoga, animal folding, etc.). Awesome breakfast

Expensive. Prices comparable to U.S. Paying for Internet service (free at other five-star resorts in Phuket). Needs to beef up vegetarian options at its restaurants

Excellent experience. It's a huge resort with multiple pools and a top-notch beach. Note, you can't really run on the beach because it's sloped. Excellent fitness center, tennis pavillion and daily programs. we particularly enjoyed the morning yoga sessions in the covered pavillion despite fending off the pesky flies. We upgraded our room to a suite for extra and it was well worth it. The suite came with a large wraparound deck and a great pagoda with pool and ocean views.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a canoeing trip to see the caves and lagoons

Friendly staff, fantastic food, everything's so great.

It was windy during our visit, the hotel recommend not to swim in the sea, that's the only disappointment.

Hotel's great, I come here with my best friend and we had such a lovely time. Breakfast was fantastic and we are too full to have lunch, dinner at the Ginja is perfect with the sunset and everything. Service staff are perfectly friendly and very beautiful people. I just cannot love this place enough. Everything is so green~~

It was the best hotel stay our family has ever experienced, sheer opulance. The service from every person in the resort was fantastic, breakfast to die for! Counting the days to get back there!

No cons, to good to be true!

The jw Marriott was the most awsome resort we have ever been to. The service was impecable, pool staff could not do enough for you, iced water fresh towels anything you need in seconds! Golf buggies around the resort, again all the guys smile and nothing to much trouble. The décor and gardens are to die for, everywhere you look are absolutly beautiful, you seriously feel like you are on cloud nine! The Siam deli was also again fantastic all the fresh Danishes you could ask for, we also had dinner there. And was very reasonable. Happy hour at the blue bar was awsome again, service faultless. All the staff from reception to the house cleaners where lovely. Do yourself a favour and just go there! Perfect place to get away from all the hustle of patong!

Restaurant Tip : Happy hour at the blue bar don't miss it!

i have lived in thailand for nearly 20 years, and this was one of the most beautiful and well-equipped hotels i've stayed in. the range of activities - including yoga, meditation, sunset bike tours to the tsunami memorial, plus the wide range of fabulous restaurants, several pools, beautiful landscaping, and exquisite beach plus gorgeous rooms and lots of privacy add up to an unforgettable vacation.

i thought everything was excellent and have no complaints.

Quiet, practically on its own on a big long beach. Superb food. Great facilities and lovely room.

Expensive. Remote from rest of Phuket. Public meter taxis will not come to hotel because of local taxi firm's monopoly, therefore taxi rides out of and back to hotel can be pricey if you want to explore surrounds.

This is a great resort. Great restaurants, location, rooms and facilities. They have thought of just about everything, from cool towels and fruits at the poolside and when you use the fitness centre to the well designed rooms and architecture. This was our second visit. The only frustration this time was the public meter taxis will not come to hotel because of local taxi firm's monopoly, therefore taxi rides out of and back to hotel can be pricey if you want to explore surrounds.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't bother to visit Patong!

The immediate surroundings --the foliage, fauna and extraordinary landscapes, waterfalls and ponds left me breathless. An then there's the beach!

I personally found the restaurants a bit on the expensive side. And the spa a little out of my reach at $200 for a 90 minute treatment

From the initial greeting with the orchid/palm necklace and refreshing mint drink served upon moment upon arrival, I knew I was in for a pampering. The service was sublime during my stay. And an upgraded room to boot! The rooms were exemplary and the accoutrement --fresh fruits, bath salts and 'spirit room' were unexpected and so appreciated! The three pools are seemed to have their own personality --the colors of the water and the profile of people who selected to relax at each of them. \n\nI so enjoyed the variety of restaurants and the option to visit The Siam Deli open 24/7. This place is fabulous. I can tell you I most certainly with be back and have been so impressed that I have been recommending JW Marriott, Phukett to everyone. \n\nThanks for a mosts memorable, luxurious experience!\n\nSincerely, Geri Arnais

Travel tip : The food specials every night at any one of your restaurants and the fabulous weight machines in the gym and complimentary juice shots!

A small world in a world. This hotel is a magnificent property and is meant for people who want complete relaxation. The staff is courteous, rooms are neat & clean. Their spa is to die for, its the best amongst the Asian hotels that I’ve been to. Food quality is good. A perfect place for a family - kids have a lot of entertainment - jumbo, the hotel elephant will keep kids busy for half a day at least, party people will find this hotel average as the main happening area is Patong which is a 45 mins drive (not a complicated one).

Allergic to insects....beware, tons of them around you Breakfast area is too small, the hotel needs to add in more space. Suites are overpriced. Room for improvement on food quality for a 5 star standard.

Overall experience with JW Marriott was good except for the last day of departure where my wife lost her pendant which she kept in the room while we went for breakfast. We scanned every corner of the room, cud not find it till we checked out. When brought to the notice of the manager, they said they'll check the staff and get back to us. Within hours, they found the pendant under the table; the place where we saw at least 5 times and cud not find it. We are sure that it was the staff responsible for this. They are now ready to courier it to us at our expense. So, guys beware!!!

Beautiful grounds - amazing pools - suberb room

Only "fancy" food - no local chicken on a stick with sticky rice, and had to negotiate just to get a steamed fish.

This resort is amazing...the entire place, grounds, pools, buildings, rooms, is beautiful and incredibly well kept up. Although there were a lot of people, I never felt crowded and found it easy to enjoy the place without being bothered by tourists. The food was good, but I would have liked if there was more variety of "non-fancy" food. One thing that bothered me was that I slipped on their wet floor and the glass bottle I was carrying broke, cutting my hand, and although I went back with a bleeding hand, they made me purchase another drink rather than just giving it to me. The staff at the pool and pool bar were excellent, but I found the rest of the staff to be a bit "standoffish."

It is amazingly beautiful, the sea view and beach, the garden, and the pools are all really nice. The style in the room is really special. The room is the spacious and very new and clean. Also it is near the airport (10mins driving)

It is far from phuket town.

I stayed in 5 hotels (all are five stars) on phuket island, this hotel is most beautiful. The staff is really nice and upgraded my room free of charge. The room is romantic for couples. The candles, the bath, and the balcony is designed for a couple. I really enjoyed the night here.

Nightlife Tip : Candles are provided both in room and bath.

Luxurious facilities. Services are kept.

Everything is high.

Very cozy hotel, service employees as well, I could comfortably spend. Wile away a good hotel that I think is the downtown area is far from out of town, so I think the time is inconvenient. The hotel is too expensive.

The environment just like a resort, the staff - extremely helpful, the food, almost everything. The gym, the spa.

Transport, not very user friendly, maybe should provide FOC or a cheaper rate for the shuttle bus to town.

The minute I stepped into the hotel, it was so welcoming that I dread having to leave very soon. The food was really yummy, the scenery so calming. Every corner you turn, the ever smiling and helpful staff makes you feel so pampered. What a relaxing holiday. I vow I will be back

Travel tip : Should participate in the yoga classes. Really streched you out. Go to town and get some dried porks at Robinson, really yummy.

Great rooms and restaurants

Far away from any shops or facilities

JW Marriot phukhet is a great hotel.!!!I have visited many top rated hotels in Phukhet and found this hotel to be amongst the best. The resort has beautifull gardens, and a great selection of restaurants. The only issue of concern was that the Seafood restaurant charged European prices.Overall a great place for a relaxing holiday.

Hotel Feature Tip : If you stay at this hotel it is really important to ask for a garden access room,as the feeling is great walking out the door directly into the gardens

staff, grounds, pools, restaurants, elephants

almost always fully booked

We had a fantastic stay at the JW marriott resort. It was our final hotel stay after a two week roundtrip in thailand. The hotel itself is massive and has two elephants that you can play with every day! With a wonderful beach and lots of great pools and activities throughout the day we just loved it to bits. only downside is that it is almost always fully booked but if you get a room, do take it. It is only 15 min from the airport.

Three pools, more-or-less on its own on a big beach, peaceful, great food. Close to the airport therefore good for a weekend away from Bangkok.

Spa is expensive!

The resprt is big: three swimming pools; italian, steak, Japanese and Chinese restaurants; great (if exepnsive) spa. There is also quite a bit to do there, if lying by the pool, walking on the beach, eating and sleeping is not all you want. Bikes are for hire, yoga and pilates classes on offer, as well as tennis courts and activities for children. Our room had a DVD player and the health club has books and DVDs you can borrow. The breakfast is great. So much to choose from. We bought some bread from the bakery to take away on out last day - delicious.

Travel tip : Don't leave the hotel: it's got all you need!
