after long journey from the uk it was like stepping into paradise. it was low season (july) so quiet and relaxing. rooms, food and staff exceeded expectations and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

from the moment we arrived and were greeted with refreshing drinks and a floral lei, the jw marriott was something special. you could staff for days and do almost nothing or get involved in the many activities on offer. the ginja thai cooking school was great and so too were the elephants that were paraded along the beach front at different times of the day. the rooms were spotless, extremely comfortable and luxurious.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The massages available down on the beach front were great value for an hour and the ladies doing the massage knew all the techniques for getting rid of achy backs or sore muscles.

Very Good Hotel

JW Marriott is a choice if you choose to relax in the hotel and not going anywhere. The hotel is located in the north of Phuket, which is vary far from the attraction which is mainly in the southern part of the island. However, this hotel has an excellent room, swimming pool and other facility that we can enjoy. The beach however has a rather big waves, but we still enjoy swimming in the beach. Breakfast is also excellent with a lot of variety (including Dim Sum, which my children really enjoy).
Shopping Tip:
There is a mini mart in the area called Turtle Village, and the hotel provided a shuttle to go there. However, there are only two restaurants there with mainly western menu. I prefer to eat at the hotel.

Great family resort, lovely room, expensive foo
Spacious room, hugh comfy bed, great bathroom and sala (separate daybeds). Love the fruit offering and Xmas gift. Private beach and numerous lovely pools to choose from. Large and well equiped Kids and Teenager club rooms. Multiple restaurants to choose from.

great family resort with extensive grounds for relaxation and play, beautiful architecture and we love the daybeds as well as pools scatterd all around the place and private beach. great food choices. xmas dinner on the beach and under the stars was a highlight. the couple massage in the serene spa was awesome. my son loved the luxury, the food and the swimming pools.
only drawbacks are abit isolated as the hotel is located away from local shops and restaurants as well as the expensive food, but will definitely be back for extended stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Siam Safari in the hills with elephant trekking, cultural and food experience is a must.

we enjoyed our stay and would love to go back. the hotel was beautiful and relaxing and the service was perfect. we especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet and several dinner buffets at the hotel. the hotel is located directly on an uncrowded beach and has three lovely pools which overlook the beach.

Though we travel extensively for business and pleasure, the JW Marriott Phuket has always held a special place in our hearts. It is located in a beautiful, peaceful, natural setting, complimented by the design of the facility. As with our first stay, our time there was a welcome change from the hustle, and getting hustled, of Bangkok. I agree with other reviewers who comment that the cost of the food is the same as North America but people know it is a Marriott when they decide to stay there! Again, we agree with other comments about the extremely high cost of the hotel shuttle which I consider gouging.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Breakfast at the hotel is exceptional. We tend to have a late, but large breakfast,and often get by on two meals a day.

JW Mariott Phuket is quite private in location, good for the person who wants to keep away from cloudy and noisy. The service is so excellent with clean and secure kids' facilities. The food is very good taste.

It was the best hotel stay our family has ever experienced,sheer opulance. The service from every person in the resort was fantastic, breakfast to die for! Counting the days to get back there!

The jw Marriott was the most awsome resort we have ever been to. The service was impecable, pool staff could not do enough for you, iced water fresh towels anything you need in seconds! Golf buggies around the resort, again all the guys smile and nothing to much trouble. The décor and gardens are to die for, everywhere you look are absolutly beautiful, you seriously feel like you are on cloud nine! The Siam deli was also again fantastic all the fresh Danishes you could ask for, we also had dinner there. And was very reasonable. Happy hour at the blue bar was awsome again, service faultless. All the staff from reception to the house cleaners where lovely. Do yourself a favour and just go there! Perfect place to get away from all the hustle of patong!

Happy hour at the blue bar don't miss it!
