Lovely hotel in quiet rocky beach area
Short ride to Patong beach

Stayed 4 nights for R&R on quiet Kalim Beach.
Location is 20 minutes walk from Patong Beach or short tuktuk ride 200TB each way - standard charge for foreigner.; or flag down local bus for 50TB each.
Great boutique hotel with amenities, fridge, plates/silver wares, bright room and good size balcony with chairs/table to relax.
Hotel pool is still under construction which cause noisy morning,
hopefully will finish before next dry season.
Western restaurant near-by, variety stores are some distance away.
Fine hotel for R&R.

The hotel has 3 storeys without lift. The small swimming pool is under renovation. The hotel building is on a hillslope. I had difficulty finding this hotel because the small signboard was placed on the other side of the road. Many residents do not know where this hotel when asked. Suitable for those who prefer away from crowded hotel.

There is a small carpark suitable for those who drive. Free wifi available.

Small hotel with friendly people

i arrived in phuket with family. the wanted to stay at patang beach but i could not get the reservation. instead in stayed at kalim beach. the hotel is bit difficult to find as it is not on the road side. but the friendly and very helpful staff make your stay easily.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a sea food restaurant just at walkable distance from the hotel

it's a nice place to stay. but it's a long way to patong. the hotel only serves breakfast and not lunch or dinner. the service they proformed for us were really great. the breakfast wasn't too great, we ordered "american breakfast" everyday and instead we got fried rice and a sandwich, but you could still eat it. breakfast is not worth the money.
afterall it was a good stay.

Nice Hotel but Far From Central Patong

very clean and cheap hotel with great services. however; quite far from central patong beach where most of the action seems to occur. walking from the hotel to the fringes of patong took at least a half an hour. the room we stayed in was very well kept in good condition and had free wifi. one point of confusion is that the hotel is named "kalim beach place" on the website but labeled "kalim place" (i think) by a very small sign close to the hotel. this resulted in our cabbie circling the the hotel for about 40 minutes while pulling into every driveway - frustrating everyone in the minibus. so, be careful when finding the hotel. i would recommend this hotel for guests who are either interested in staying a bit away from the main beach or those who have access to a scooter.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From mid afternoon to evening along Kalim Beach there are many local food trucks and stalls that sprinkle the road by the ocean. I would highly suggested having at least once meal there. From the ratio of Thai to foreigner it would seem that the food is authentic as well as cheap. Great to grab a beer from the Family Mart, something to eat, and to watch the sunset.

location of the hotel is very far away from main area in potong no one know about this hotel
conceierge did not make a reservation which i requested thus i have to wait another 30min to get a taxi to airport

Super hotel and very friendly service

the kalim place hotel is a jewel hidden on kalim beach in thailand. four of us stayed in 2 rooms and found the service excellent. the hotle provide a taxi service at a very reasonable rate for guests. scooters can also be hired from reception. the rooms are cleaned every day, fresh linen on the beds, bottles of water are free of charge and there are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. there is also a big flat screen tv in each room. the hotel is just a few meters from the beach, which is gorgeous. only draw back is that there are no restaurant. facility's . the hotel is currently putting in a swimming pool which will be finished in october. i for one will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice, clean, Cheap, far away from city centre

I only stayed for one day because for me it is a little bit too far away from the city centre. It is also very difficult to get a cab from this area. It is a new hotel so many cabdrivers didn’t know it. You can rent a motorbike at the hotel, which is advisable. The rooms are great, clean, big lcd screen tv, beautiful bathroom. The rooms are there price more than worth. No eating facilities or recreational facilities onside. At the time I was there they were building another hotel right next door at night. So I had a good overview from my balcony over these activities. I stayed in this hotel in July 2012.
