Good location in front of the beach. Big swimming pool.

Facility is a little old.

We stayed at deluxe bungalow. Facility is a little old but good location and good cost performance. I think some other beach is more beautiful than Kamala beach, but it is very difficult to stay near the beach side at this price in other place. There was a 7-11 near from our room and it was very convenient. We used a motor cycle to go sight seeing aroud the island. It cost 250B per day.

Good location, nice pool. food good

This side of phuket the sea is very rough

We have just returned from a 3 week trip round thailand, we used the kamala as a stop off point in phuket, nice hotel, staff very friendly and facilities good, the general area around the kamala is okay although the sea was rough, i think this is typical for this part of phuket, would stay here again

On the beach!! The pools are great

Hotel is a little dated!

My stay was fine. The hotel is a little old, and the views from the walkway getting to the rooms is a little ordinary. Breakfast was good and plentiful, the bed was comfortable, and the view of the Sunset was sensational.

Hotel Feature Tip : Ask for a full ocean view room, and be amazed by the sunsets!

2 nice pools (one with a bar), huge room, next to the beach.

Room a little bit old and internet is completly expensive.

The Kamala Beach hotel is very nice, with nice pools, a place for Thai massages, and it is really over the beach. The breakfast was also very complete and good. I went there beacuse i wanted to be in a beach not overcrowed, and it worked. But at night there is almost nothing to do in Kamala. So if you want to have more options for dining or to go out for a drink, i think that Kata or Karon are better places to stay in the island. Besides i found that the color of the water was clearer in those beaches. Apart from that, we had a nice stay and i recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Kamala.

Travel tip : If you dont want to stay all the day laying in the same beach, and get to know the other places in the island, i recommend you hire a bike. They are really cheap (200 bath for 24 hours) and you can have a good time. By the way, drive carefully and slowly since there are many bikes and car around. But just be careful and have a good time. Kata View point is a nice place to go with the bike at sunset.

clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, right on the beach, lots of restaurants on the beach, good breakfast though the pastries and croissants very stodgy.free bottles of water provided each day

cannot really see the sea from the seaview rooms, hotel restaurant expensive compared to the ones outside, smell of sewage in the corridors, mosquitoes after dark, maybe hotel should provide mosquito repellant incense sticks, have to pay for loungers on the beach.freindly and helpful staff

rooms are spacious and clean with a verandah with table and chairs. the hotel is right on the beach and there is good choice of restaurants right on the beach for lunches and dinners at a very good price. the beach is very clean and the hawkers don't really bother you too much once you tell them you are not interested. there are a couple of places on the beach where you can have a thai massage for 300 bahts. all in all, the hotel is very good value for money and we will be returning soon.

Restaurant Tip : there is a restaurant on the beach next door to the tailor (cannot remember the name, but it is an english name)..has a bar and tables on the beach. good food at great prices. avoid deng's as the prices are a biot steeper, and our daughter got food poisoning after eating pork there.

On the beach with local restaurants and shops on the beachfront. Great restaurant down on the headland called Rockfish for something different

The breakfast was good however I would not recommend eating lunch or dinner at the hotel the food is average and quite expensive for what you get

The location is good however the rooms are quite old and a little run down particularly the bathrooms. There are 2 pools and it is difficult getting a sunbed unless you grab one first thing in the morning, so best to take a chair and umbrella on the beach. However this will cost you 80 baht everytime. The gym was OK with fairly new equipment but not much choice. Great restaurant on the headland at the end of the beach walk left called Rockfish, excellent happy hours with great views.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Would not recommend the snorkelling trip on the long boat. Very expensive for what you get and there is nothing to do at Banana Beach and it is quite dirty on the beach plus you have to pay extra to sit on a sunbed

Location next to beach. Very friendly staff.

Some rooms are smelling humid.

Stayed at the Hotel during Easter. Arrived early, but the staff did their best to check us in early. We had a room at 11 am. Breakfast is extremely good for a tourist hotel. Location is excellent.

Restaurant Tip : The Coconut Thai dish was excellent.

Awesome breakfast, clean rooms, right on the beach. There are a few other lovely beaches within a 10min drive - Surin has some particularly nice restaurants.

Sun lounger hogs, two ponds (more like swamps) outside the rooms - heaven for mosquitos Shower for swimming pool is out of sight so most people just jump in without showering

Kamala Beach is a good place for a cheap and cheerful holiday. The rooms are in need of an update, especially the bathrooms but I think the hotel is closing down after this season to give everything a makeover. The rooms were spotlessly clean which is the main thing. Breakfast is great - there's a huge selection. The location is also good - right on the beach and within walking distance of lots of nice restaurants and bars. It's also only a short hop to Surin Beach or Bang Tao. Now for the negatives. The rooms are built around two ponds which are presumably meant to be ornamental but look more like swamps and attracts the mosquitos so we were bitten quite a lot. Stagnant water is a breeding ground for mozzies so it seems crazy to have two huge swamps in a hotel. I also would have been very nervous if I had kids there as they are not fenced off. The two swimming pools are a nice size and the swim up bar is a nice touch. Unfortunately, all the sunbeds were taken by 7.30 each morning by people leaving a book or towel on there. They then disappeared until late afternoon depriving anyone else of a sunbed. There's a notice saying that if a bed is left unattended for more than an hour, a member of staff would free it up for someone else but this never happened so we spent most of the time on the beach and not using the pool. The shower for the swimming pool is out of sight so most people just jump in without showering - sweat, sun cream and all. Just outside the entrance there's a taxi stand which is a TOTAL rip off. The drivers claim it's the hotel stand and have fixed prices rather than using a metre. It cost us 350 baht from the airport to the hotel, incl. the airport levy. It cost us 600 baht to get back. Kamala is a small place so the few other taxis charge the same price. Finally, when we were paying our bill they tried to charge us for a broken umbrella which we'd never used and a bottle of white wine which we hadn't drunk.

Restaurant Tip : Check out Surin beach for sunset drinks and dinner

- 2 large size pools. - right on clean beaches and 20 min to Patong Beach. - friendly staffs. - good breakfast selection, dinning facility is good.

- more frequent shuttles service to Patong Beach area.

Best location among Kamala Beach hotels with very clean facilities. All front line staffs speaks English, so there is no problem getting directions and tour arrangement. There is on site dive shop and PADI lesson, motor bike rental if you are up to the challenge riding in Thailand.

Hotel Feature Tip : Great place to relax and close to Patong for night life.

hotel condition was horrible. furnishings were outdated. mosquitoes in the room (one of them bit me in the eye). bathroom was gross.

At Kamala, I exactly did not have the time of my life. The toilet and sink water looked yellow. The water was definitely clear but the porcelain just made the water look yellow. There were mosquitoes all over the room, one of them bit me in the eye. Also, the hotel location isn't that great. Kamala Beach is nice but it's far from Patong, Karon, and Kata.

Great rooms and close to everything.

The frogs and lizards in the garden.

I and my friend had a three week stay at this excellent place. This is our second stay at Kamala Beach and we find the staff very competent and willing to help. We are most willing to recomend Kamala Beach Resort to retired people like us as well as families.

if you are getting a room on 1st or 2 floor. you cant see the sea,for the big palms trees but you are paying for a side seaview.

Restaurant Tip : some very at the beach, cheap and good food. and some very nice resturants and bars in the town 5 min. away.

Near to beach, great pools

Not too much in the town nearby

Good spacious rooms, so close to the beach, lovely pool. Well located and easy to get to from airport etc. Very busy (esp. breakfast and poolside) but guess that's more a sign of how popular this place is. We had a deluxe garden view room, which didn't actually seem very deluxe at all (a bit shabby) but we didn't spend very much time in there so wasn't too bothered. Very helpful staff, although one of the barman wasn't too sure about the contents on some of the cocktails on the list!

near the beach, good location, nice place. Nice bands in the night time.

no smiling, no greeting words, not warm feeling while stay in the hotel. The breakfast is not changing daily.

While me & my son arrived in the Airport it was nearly midnight 00:00 & got a taxi took within 30 minutes to Kamala Beach Hotel. It was very comfortable for transportion. First day, we slept in Side Seaview Room & the rest 3 days we stayed in Bungalow Room. Frankly says, the room decoration is so simple, but the best point is near the beach & the outlet of the hotel is very good. We are so enjoyed & relax to stay here.
