At Kamala, I exactly did not have the time of my life. The toilet and sink water looked yellow. The water was definitely clear but the porcelain just made the water look yellow. There were mosquitoes all over the room, one of them bit me in the eye. Also, the hotel location isn't that great. Kamala Beach is nice but it's far from Patong, Karon, and Kata.

Kamala Beach Resort

I and my friend had a three week stay at this excellent place. This is our second stay at Kamala Beach and we find the staff very competent and willing to help. We are most willing to recomend Kamala Beach Resort to retired people like us as well as families.

We wanted to stay on the beach but outside of the seedy tourist areas. Kamala seemed a little more relaxed and quieter than other places in Phuket. The hotel has a nice location on the beach but the beach is very crowded. If you walk down the beach for 10-15 minutes you can get away from the crowds and the beach is nicer. This hotel was ok but we were a little disappointed. We won't return to this hotel or Phuket. There are much nicer areas in Thailand to visit.

Good spacious rooms, so close to the beach, lovely pool. Well located and easy to get to from airport etc.
Very busy (esp. breakfast and poolside) but guess that's more a sign of how popular this place is. We had a deluxe garden view room, which didn't actually seem very deluxe at all (a bit shabby) but we didn't spend very much time in there so wasn't too bothered. Very helpful staff, although one of the barman wasn't too sure about the contents on some of the cocktails on the list!

My first time in Kamala Beach

While me & my son arrived in the Airport it was nearly midnight 00:00 & got a taxi took within 30 minutes to Kamala Beach Hotel. It was very comfortable for transportion. First day, we slept in Side Seaview Room & the rest 3 days we stayed in Bungalow Room. Frankly says, the room decoration is so simple, but the best point is near the beach & the outlet of the hotel is very good. We are so enjoyed & relax to stay here.

Great time at Kamala Beach Hotel

We spent four nights and three full days at Kamala Beach Hotel and really enjoyed it. There are many reasons why we would go back to Kamala but not least is the combination of location on the beach, the great service and friendly staff, as well as the convenience and easy access to the choice of restaurants and shops. We usually stay in higher rated hotels so we really didn't know what to expect at the Kamala Beach Hotel but it turned out to be every bit as good as other hotels that we have stayed in making it great value for money too. Despite the hotel being full during our stay service was excellent. We were greated by a smile and welcome drink and we found the staff to be extremely helpful and always cheerful. The room wasn't newly furnished and perhaps in need of some attention in the bathroom but it was very clean with all the expected amenities. Our balcony was shared with the next room but I think that this was due to the hotel being full. Most rooms appear to have their own private balcony. Would we go there again? Well we are already planning our next trip ;-)
Restaurant Tip:
There are plenty of restaurants on the beach but don't overlook those in the town which is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Kamala Beach resort review

We enjoyed very much being so close to a nice beach in our ocean-view room. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice service.
Air conditioner was very lowd - hard to sleep with it at night. Bedding and towels did not look very fresh, we had to ask to change our bedding on arrival because of multiple spots - it was done right away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of such a convinient location on a great beach.

The Kamala Beach is a well located hotel, in the centre of the resort, with direct access to the beach. There are two good swimming pools, with plenty of sunbeds available at all times.
The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.
There are lots of good value restaurants within walking distance.
Restaurant Tip:
Kamala Seafood is an excellent family run restaurant nearby.

Kamala Beach Resort not so good

I would not go back. I much prefered my stay at The Palms Kamala which is new, clean and more spacious. Located right across from the beach in the center of town. The manager at this resort was great help to me and my friends. It also has a nicer gym and the units are condos which are more spacious
Restaurant Tip:
Rockfish is great as well as the beach at the far right of the bay which we named Clearwater.
