Next to the beach but small and quite old room
Karon beach is under your nose staying in this hotel

I've been a fan of this hotel since I was 10. Nothing is changed much, even after the tsunami. The biggest advantage of staying in this hotel is that it can be count as one of very few that is next to Karon beach because normally other hotels are on the other side of the street. The room is tidy but quite old and small like those old style hotels. The price is for being next to the beach, apart from that, it's just an ordinary hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is located near Dino park mini golf, which can be very fun for family activities

This hotel has the best location on Karon Beach, the veiws from the pool area are spectatular, the staff are delightful and very helpful, and the buffet breakfasts are delicious.

I found the staff very helpful especially the housemaids who were very friendly. The breakfasts were good. Even though the hotel was full we had no problems getting a pool lounge.The position of the hotel right on the beach was perfect. The rooms were clean and serviced promptly everyday. Would stay here again.

Excellent location by the beach

oldish hotel by very well maintained. well, outside can do with abit of re-painting but very satisfied with the interior. room smallish but cosy and has everything that is required. most importantly, clean and well maintained. oh, shower is good too! the view from the room is 1st class. great as we went during monsoon so high wind and rain stop us from going to beach.. but hey, we can still enjoy the seaview from our room :) lots of restaurants and spa in the area. of course, lots less than patong. its a nice small town and good for chill out.
Restaurant Tip:
to be honest, we did not find any of the food there to be particularly good. believe it or not, some thai restaurant in Singapore serve better thai food than what we find in phuket! the seafood are generally fresh, go to those along the street with fresh seafood on display. price not that cheap compare to malaysia but much cheaper than in singapore. but do bargain. everything in this country can be bargained! well, nearly.... good luck!

Absolute beachfront rarity

we enjoyed our stay at kbr&s. surrounding streets had plenty to offer. dino putt putt golf next door was great. mum played with junior while i sat at the bar.
we were happy not to have the extra bed for junior as there was little room for it anyway with all our bags of shopping.
breakfasts were great, though i'd like mushrooms in my omeletes.

Ging restaurant near Old Phuket Hotel.

Great location and good view.
Easy access too the beach.

Very satisfied with the services provided. Friendly receptionist which makes my Check-in and Check-out without any problems or much hassle. Rooms are facing the sea which puts a smile on your face every time you wake up.
Shopping Tip:
It is not as busy as patong beach. 10 minutes motorbike ride to patong from the hotel.

Nice hotel with good staff

We traveled with parents and parents in law, and glad we chose the right hotel , this hotel have exact everything we wanted , it's only hotel right on the karon beach with the sew view room ,actually all 80 rooms they hv is seaviw, staff is very polite and nice , they make you feel like home , breakfast is not the best but we think it''s good and hv everything we need , especially they provide rice soup which old Chinese people is used to . Swimming pool is not big but we like it , karon beach is very long and suroudings is quite , suitable for holiday , last time we stay Ed in Paton beach , after comparison we find karon beach life is what we wanted ,definely will stay this hotel again if we come to Phuket third time ,
The only short coming is room is not big and a little bit older decoration, but we are ttly ok with it
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Prompt cape is nice , definely worth to travel , and two chefs restaurant nearby is so good

very nice hotel, friendly helpful staff

Had a great stay. The hotel is the only one on Karon beach with direct beach access. All rooms had a sea view. Staff were great. Did a cooking course at the hotel which was fabulous and would highly recommend.
Nightlife Tip:
If you get a chance book into a cooking class, it was the best Thai food I had om my trip

It is located right on the corner of Karon beach where you can see the whole length of the beach. The room was nice and clean. No toothbrush, was wondering why. Cheap meals and abundant services outside of the hotel are right across the street. Internet was not free, but you can get a 10 minutes of free internet if you decide not to change the linen, for the sake of saving precious water.
A little tips : if you're planning to go on some islands tour or whatever, try to browse some shops across the street and get very cheap deals. Avoid getting tour packages from your taxi agent or hotel.

Overlooking the beautifully ocean

after a year of working you need a totally relaxing place to stay come here and walk straight down onto the beach.come back and sit in the pool bar and have a cocktail or two or three and be even more relaxed. night time chose a resturant not how it looks,outside we found plastic tablecloths does'nt reflect the quality of the food.the best real thai home cooking was at these places and cheap too.will stay again but only negative is have to pay for wi fi.
Nightlife Tip:
Must visit Bangalore road at patong.
