Loved our stay at Karon Beach Resort!

This was our first visit to Phuket and we really enjoyed our 5 night stay at Karon Beach Resort. The location was perfect, right on the beach and easy access to shops and restaurants without being too busy. We were more than happy with the room, it was nice and clean... bed was comfy (might be a bit too hard for some) and we slept well. Decor is a little bit dated and maybe a little dark but nothing that bothered us. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning, there was a good range but maybe not enough for those who expect a smorgasbord fit for a king. We had a medical emergency on the last night of our stay and the staff were extremely helpful and concerned and stayed until the ambulance arrived. We were very happy that we stayed in Karon, the pace was a lot more laid back than Patong and we will definitely come back again. There were quite a few very modern optometrists close to the resort and I bought a pair of prescription glasses, Guess frames with transition lenses for A$130 and prescription sunglasses for A$90, the service was very impressive and the glasses were completed within 24 hours!
Restaurant Tip:
The highlight of our trip was a visit Tung Ka Cafe on Rang Hill (accessible by taxi or tuk tuk). The view was spectacular and the food was divine! The pineapple fried rice was delicious, the chicken in pandanus leaves mouth watering and you must try the best chilled coffee in Phuket :)

Good hotel & Location (only one just on the beach)
Good location ( the only one in karon just on the sand), rooms with good area, good furniture and very clean. The food on the breakfast is good, but with less quantities comparing for exemple to portuguese hotels f.e.

In general the staff of the recepcion and of the breackfast aren´t very proactive
If we need a taxi or transfer to airport, they don´t make a call, because they have their service, more expensive than you can get outside, but in general I recommended this Hotel.
Bom hotel,unico c saida directa na praia. Mtº limpo e bem decorado. O pequeno-almoço é variado e de boa qualidade mas sem gde quantidade. De resto em general na Tailandia as doses não são muito generosas. O pessoal da recepção não está muito disponivel para te ajudar por ex arranjar taxi porque tem 1 beurou proprio p serviços de taxis e transferes. Por sinal bastante mais caros do q o q se consegue cá fora ex transfere/airoporto 1200bt/por pessoa e na rua arranja-se taxi a 800bt. O facto de não dominarem o inglês, tb deve constituir 1 obstaculo a serem mais solicitos, no entanto recomendo o Hotel.

I stayed in Karon beach resort for 3 nights.
It's located beachside and no need to cross traffic road to get the beach. Karon beach is directly accessible from resort and resort pool, which is so convenient and makes it has nice view from pool and restaurant.
Breakfast was well-prepared and you can enjoy it with beachview.
Location was also good, it's around south end of Karon beach and also accessible to Kata beach by walk. Tons of restaurants are on the road.
Very nice place for calm and relaxing.
It would be necessary to renovate rooms and buildings. Room was clean but quite small.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Some other travlers pointed out that it is hard to communicate in English, but I didn't feel any inconvenience in communication with staffs in the resort (check-in & out, restaurant, laundry etc.)
I had dinner once in resort restaurant, which has nice beachside table and view, but dissapointed with food. I would not recommend.
I would not recommend this resort for luxury honeymooners, but very good choice for couple and family tourists who are willing to have peaceful relaxing vacation.
I would definitely come back!

I went to Kata area (actually, between Karon and Kata) to have lunch and din.

We only had 5 nights at Karon Beach Resort, could have a few more nights. Enjoyed the beach location tremendously and the food at the resort was excellent. Also had a massage whilst there which was very good, professional and relaxing. The room was a good size with a wonderful large bed and so close to the beach which was lovely and clean. Staff were friendly and obliging. Would definately stay again.

the hotel is in a fantastic location on the beach. the rooms are a little tired but the location makes up for it. staff are friendly. pool bar great! karon beach is nice and clean and we had fantastic sunset views from the resort.
Restaurant Tip:
Look for the Wine Connection. Best wine, cheese platters and fantastic Thai. It's got something for everyone.

This hotel is located at the end of Karon beach with a beautiful view. The pool is really good. Restaurant food is delicious however you can go out and find a lot of options just outside the hotel.

Very good hotel with a nice location just in front of the beach. Price is high compared with other similar options. However i had a nice stay.
The pool is nice and you have a lot of options for food just outside hotel.

Close to shops, The only problems we had was most staff did not speak or understand English. Was really great being able to wake up go out onyour Balcony and look at the Beach and not having to cross any roads to get to the beach
