Great location and great view
8.3
this hotel is right on the beach. even though it is a public beach, the portion of the beach next to the hotel gives a feeling of a private beach. staffs were courteous. food was decent enough. the view of the sea from the 1st and 2nd floor rooms right on the pool were just awesome.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
prefer taking the day trip to phi phi from the shops outside the hotel. they are quite a few providing the deal. you can bargain upto 60% less of the hotel price, outside. food in the hotel is not very expensive compared to outside. thai massage on the beach by local expertise are good enough. the same will cost you around baht in the hotel.

Great location but poor breakfast
9.3
Exactly locates on Karon Beach, peaceful and nice view. Recommend to stay on 1/F, close to the beach and the pool. Swimming pool for children. Very nice sunset. Breakfast is not good, very limited choices.
Restaurant Tip:
The breakfast is not good in the hotel. You may try the cafe outside the hotel, 100B for one person with 5 choices of breakfast.

Great location
Beautifully located away from the noisy night life.

this hotel is nicely located with beachside pool and restaurant. breakfast is nice but hotel charges for internet. rooms are a little dated but clean but with a view to die for. surrounded by restaurants, laundry, massage and street travel agents. try the travel/laundry/massage right across the road for a good deal and a great massage. for a terrific dining experience try the restaurant that has a stairway off the beach to the left of the hotel, wonderful view up the beach with food inexpensive and tasty.

we spent four nights here in august. the hotel is oceanfront and all rooms have a view of the ocean. the location was near several shops/restaurants. if you go left out of the hotel entrance you will find the cheaper restaurants. the room itself was adequate and clean. my one complaint would be that they tried to pass off two twin beds pushed together as a double bed--the beds were even made up separate so it was like sleeping in a different bed than my boyfriend. breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. also, wifi is not included at this hotel and it was kind of pricy by thailand standards. the hotel also charges extra for late checkout. we asked for an extra hour since we had a late flight but decided we didn't want to pay the extra cost. i would probably not choose this hotel again if i return to phuket. previously i have stayed at the sugar palm beach resort in kata and found it to be a much nicer hotel for a much better price. the only benefit to this one over the sugar palm was the oceanfront location.

Lovely hotel great location right on beach

air-con in room did not work initially but as soon as reported to reception they got mechanic to fix immediately. hotel is fantastic location right on the beach and the pool is great for cooling off. rooms are a little dated but apart from that it is hard to fault.
Restaurant Tip:
Seafood restaurants down the road 200m back towards patong are great

this is one of the very few hotels that is right on karon beach, at the southernmost end. most, but not quite all rooms, have a great ocean and sunset view.on the first night i was put in a room right at the south end of the block that had a very restricted view, but they did move me to a better room for the remaining nights. the number of sunbeds around the pool is fairly limited and they are set very close together. the hotel does not have its own sunbeds on the beach. rooms are adequately comfortable, but the hotel is fairly old.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a car in Phuket, from about day. This gets you out of the grips of the evil taxi and tuktuk mafia that maintains grossly inflated prices for even the shortest trips.

Great value for money
Right on a public but quiet beach. Rooms are nicely done. Walking distance from convenience stores
8.3
This hotel is an excellent choice when it comes to value for money. Its right on the beach, while a public beach, is tucked at a corner of Karon beach and hence feels more like a private beach, yet you get good service at the beach chairs with locals charging just 100 Baht for providing clean beach chairs for a whole day, with drinks and massages on order from the beach chair while sun-tanning, all without paying hotel prices.
When tired of the beach can have a swim at the pool facing the beach, which is just as fabulous.
The hotel is in a good area with amenities such as restaurants, convenience stores and believe it or not many optical shops for last minute purchase of contact lenses which you forgotten to bring for your snorkeling excursion. However, if you want to have discos and pubs in walking distance, you need to stay in Patong Beach.
Front desk staff and bell boys are very friendly and sincere, can't say the same of the restaurants though.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Breakfast is a must have with the hotel rates. Get up early to have a seaview breakfast sitting in the alfresco area. Fried eggs with bacon are excellent.
Rides to Patong beach are at 400 Baht one-way and available just outside the hotel
The travel desk at a white-painted western food cafe down the road offers friendly service and good prices to Phi Phi island.

We always stay at Karon Beach Resort because of it's location, right on the beach, at the southern end of Karon Beach . The design of the building and the way it blends in with it's surrounds ,is ideal. The meals are excellent and reasonably priced . The staff are very efficient, happy and well trained .We reccomend this resort for a relaxing and pleasant vacation
