As advertised the hotel is right on the beach and every room has a sea view. The rooms at the north end, however, have a more restricted view than those at the south. The hotel has only three floors, but I would avoid the first floor if possible since people have to traipse by your room to get to the pool, etc. Speaking of the pool--I hated it. It is small and has extremely restrictive areas for sunning oneself. That said, the beach is two minutes away and you can rent 2 lounge chairs and umbrella for a reasonable 100 baht. Shopping for necessities and restaurants are amply located just outside the hotel. Given that, you might want to eat outside rather than the hotel buffet breakfast. In a word, it is boring...limited selection, too many starchy foods (rice, pasta, noodles) and a surprisingly limited choice of fruit given the availability of such in Thailand. If you need more elaborate shopping than is available outside the hotel, at tuk-tuk to Patong or a taxi to Central Festival Mall is easily and cheaply available. As with all Thai hotels, if you want to hail either of the above do so on the street rather than booking through the hotel to save money--that includes your taxi to the airport. If you are stuck in your hotel, the cable network carries about a zillion channels
- Restaurant Tip : A 10 minute walk from the hotel (head to the shopping district, turn left at the intersection, on the right side) is a marvelous little restaurant called the Thai Kitchen. Small family run operation with delicious, very cheap food and very friendly folk. They don't speak much (well, any) English, but they understand food words like "spicy" "not hot", "rice" etc. The menu has broken English, but you can pretty much just "point and shoot"--if you like Thai food, it's all delicious

Not such a bad place, but not really worth the money. With many choices in the Karon Beach area, I'll surely try another place on my next visit.
