Private beach. Beach view from all rooms.
No Internet connection in room.
Long hallway to walk back to the room.
Karon beach resort is quite decent with private beach in front. It is very quite and would be suitable for people who would like to relax and have calm vacation.
Restaurant Tip : Dynosaurus Bar

The hotel staff at Karon Beach Resort were number one. From the minute we arrived till the day we left. I was sad to leave these people. They made a huge impact in my life. The 2nd to last day I fell along the rocks by the ocean, and cut my foot wide open. Of all people to come to my rescue, it was a hotel staff person from house keeping, a older woman atleast in her 70's. In a mattter of minutes my foot was clean and Bandaged. She spoke little english, but cared for me as if I was her grandson. Even stoping us the day after to explain to my Fiancee that I need to keep clean. Before I left Karon Beach Resort, I took a picture with my hero. I will never forget her. Warm smile and soft touch.
The hotel room was perfect. Being low season it felt like we had the 3rd floor of the hotel all to ourselves. Quiet Sanctuary of unimaginable beauty an solitude. At night we would leave balcony door open to hear the waves crash as we slept. The best place to stay with the woman you love. Sharing this experience with my soulmate is what sent this trip into one of my best vacations of my life.Without any doubt I will return and bring the entire family with me. Amazing hotel and hotel staff. I give 5 stars to this hotel.
None. Every day I would wake up early and go for a swim in the warm waters of the ocean. I would swim around rocks and feed the many types of fish.
This vacation is what life is about.
My name is Joel Kelly Donaldson. I am 31 years old. I spent 5 years in the United States Army. Active duty full time. I spent 2 years in Iraq on combat Duty. First in March 2003 for the intial push and take over of Baghdad. Then again in 2005. I have done a great deal of travel but I have never been to a place like Phuket, Thailand. I have much respect for the people, ocean, rivers, lakes, sky and the land of Thailand.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a Motor Scooter for you and your partner. Best and cheapest way to get around island. Driving in taffic takes some getting use too. But sometimes it will just be your woman, and you on a perfect stretch of the highway, that weaves its way around the island. With thick jungle on oneside and the beautiful blue ocean on the otherside.Very easy way to go to different beaches or, visit the Big Buddah on top of one of Phukets mountains. This rental place in front of hotel was fare price, and realiabe bike. I rented a motorScooter in Patong Beach and recieved a ticket for renting a unregistered Scooter. The rental place in Karon Beach was honest and friendly.

Best location in Karon Beach with fantastic beach and pool views from every room
Limited seating area poolside (we were in off season and the sunbeds were 3/4 full would have dificulty when hotel is full)apparantly hotel has policy allowing you to reserve beds from 7am with towels not sure how well this works
Very good location on southern end beach at Karon with all rooms having baloconies overlooking pool and beach.Bathrooms are a little on the smaller side with showers over the bath but little touches of oil burners and ceramic lotion holders add a luxury touch.Good access to local shops and resturants and close enough to walk to Kata beach. Northern area of Karon has more nightlife but this is cheap and easy to access with a tuktuk we discovered this too late as it was our last day but well worth investigating bars and resturants located off main roundabout. Snorkelling outside on the rocks located at edge of beach was a suprise with plenty of fish
Restaurant Tip : If go north past stadium there are 5 seafood / thai resturants that are well worth eating at and for cheap cocktails, drinks and food plus attentive and firndly staff visit karon villa resturant across road and slightly down hill from the hotel entrance.

The location of the resort on Karon Beach is superb! We were the only resort on the beach. We were on the ground floor and had very easy access to both the pool and the beach. The premises were kept immaculate at all times! We had our own private area outside of our room as well. We found the staff to be very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Although the rooms and hotel were immaculate I felt the rooms could use some updating. Also the portions of food were small.
This is our second time booking this hotel and would go back again in the future. We were there four years ago and saw the same staff still working there and they remembered us quite well! We also enjoyed the close proximity to the town of Karon which is much quieter that Patong! Many good restaurants with just a short walk away.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not purchase the sightseeing trips offered in the hotel itself. If you go into town there are many companies offering the same trips and they are offered at significant discounts.

Great location, at the far south end of Karon beach. Rooms overlooking sea and beach, with walkout to the inviting pool and the pool bar!
Breakfast was served on second level, offering nice view of sea and landscape
Rooms are relatively small, but all have a balcony or small garden patio.
THis resort shines by its location, on the very long and beautiful karon beach. Located at its south end, it therefore offers easy access to one of the best beaches of Phuket. Bordered by the beach as a backyard and the amin street on its front yard, th ehotel is definitively super well positioned.
The food is very good, and not so more costly than the multiple other restaurant options on the nearby streets.
The staff is very polite and friendly. The gardens and rooms are kept very well.
From here, it is easy to get excursions organized, or acess tuktuks or taxis. about 60 minutes from the Phuket airport.
Restaurant Tip : Many good and cheap options right off the street, in front of hotel. also an inernet cafe 3 doors down, a lot cheaper than the hotel service.

The free water was IN the refrigerator and not luke warm. Nice beachtowels. Good breakfast.
Expensive internet. A large spider-web in the bathroom. One staff in the spa is not enough.
This hotel is perfectly situated on the Karon beach. No streetcrossing. All rooms are facing the sea. They serve a seafood BBQ that is well worth the price. The beach outside the hotel is really clean and well kept. The servicedesk for tours is really serviceminded, though more expensive than if you book at an agency in the street.
Travel tip : Taxi for airport-transportation is found in the street at half the price of what the hotelcounter charge.

Didn't find any... ok. a little bit uncomfortable beds in room 305.
we decided to go to this hotel for the second time - now in 2008 and earlier in 2006. And for sure we will come back!! The place is fantastic, the sea view from each room... nice pool bar and very nice pools. also the small street nearby... Best place for the holidays.

Yellow hot water, bed and bedding were bad, stale smell and very old hotel.
The hot water was yellow in color at Karon beach resort. First they said some engineer is working to resolve. In an hour I found it was a lie and that problem was permanent. When I complained and raised a hell, they switched me their much better hotel at Kata Beach Resort. Except that Karon beach resort is beach front, there is nothing good about this place, the bed and bedding were bad, stale smell and very old hotel.

We have been to this hotel a number of times and it is always a delight. The proximity to the beach is ideal. Nice rooms and the hotel is always spotless.
This hotel is a favourite of ours because of it's location. We love watching the sunsets from the poolside and there are lots of great local restaurants to explore. For a real treat go to the Boathouse - about 100 m down the beach. It is one of the best restaurants in Thailand.
Nightlife Tip : Check out the Ska Bar under the big tree at the end of the beach. Great music and a wonderful fire show every Friday.

The views are outstanding. You can't beat it's proximity to the beach.
Restraunt is pricey when compared to other local eateries.
The hotel is the only hotel on Karon Beach with beach access. The others are located across the street. The luxuries are limitless including swim up bar, oceanside massage, and elegant dining.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be careful when renting motorbikes.

We were at Karon during their slow season. I could see there could be a problem with pool seating during high season. Beach chairs are available but they are run by the locals and their is a small charge for them (100 Baht).
Travel tip : There are many reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

As advertised the hotel is right on the beach and every room has a sea view. The rooms at the north end, however, have a more restricted view than those at the south. The hotel has only three floors, but I would avoid the first floor if possible since people have to traipse by your room to get to the pool, etc. Speaking of the pool--I hated it. It is small and has extremely restrictive areas for sunning oneself. That said, the beach is two minutes away and you can rent 2 lounge chairs and umbrella for a reasonable 100 baht. Shopping for necessities and restaurants are amply located just outside the hotel. Given that, you might want to eat outside rather than the hotel buffet breakfast. In a word, it is boring...limited selection, too many starchy foods (rice, pasta, noodles) and a surprisingly limited choice of fruit given the availability of such in Thailand. If you need more elaborate shopping than is available outside the hotel, at tuk-tuk to Patong or a taxi to Central Festival Mall is easily and cheaply available. As with all Thai hotels, if you want to hail either of the above do so on the street rather than booking through the hotel to save money--that includes your taxi to the airport. If you are stuck in your hotel, the cable network carries about a zillion channels
Restaurant Tip : A 10 minute walk from the hotel (head to the shopping district, turn left at the intersection, on the right side) is a marvelous little restaurant called the Thai Kitchen. Small family run operation with delicious, very cheap food and very friendly folk. They don't speak much (well, any) English, but they understand food words like "spicy" "not hot", "rice" etc. The menu has broken English, but you can pretty much just "point and shoot"--if you like Thai food, it's all delicious
