We stayed 3 nights at Karon Living Room. Rooms were nice and clean, staff courteous and friendly. However, breakfast was slow and house cook barely understood English needed help and service was slow. Also we had an early check out but front desk person did not know how to process charge card. Had to leave a photo copy of card. (not advisable). (We should have settled out account on previous evening). Also we missed swimming pool. ALso there in house kitchen did not serve food other than Brakfast. But it is no problem. There are manty great eating places nearby. In general, it was a pleasant experience.
Restaurant Tip:
There are lot of nice places nearby. Also a laundry place next to the hotel is great and very reasonable (70 bhatt/Kg with ironing). They returned our clothes in 24 hour. Taxi from Air port to hotel is 1000 bhatt wi=hich is a good deal.

Great Hotel. The staff were friendly. We liked this place so much that we tried to stay there again but the rooms were all booked. The staff drove us around to find show us other hotels which was awesome. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were shiny and new. The price was also pretty reasonable and they had free internet. The beach was a few minutes walk but there were pleanty of shops and restaurants along the way to take you mind of the walk and take your money. All round pleasant hotel.

This hotel was a nice place to stay. From the outside it looks a bit iffy but the inside looks to have been renovated recently with large spacious rooms with both double and snigle beds. The only downfalls about this place was that it was a little bit of a hike to the beach, and the breakfasts were pretty bad. but overall a grat place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hire a scooter. You can easily get to both patong and kata, kata being a better beach, and the tuk tuks are really expensive here, especially at night time.

Really love this hotel. Friendly staff and big clean rooms. We will come back.The only bad thing is the long walk to the beach. The best part of Karon Beach is at the north end beside Kajs restaurant. They make really good food and the price is fantastic.The new hotel construction is a bit noisy sometimes.

Location is not good for travelling to the beach. its a good 20 minute walk. It is a nice and clean hotel, nothing really fancy, but reasonably priced! Beds are a bit hard, but that seems to be normal in Thailand. The rooms were lacking a bit on facilities, but they had a tv and fridge and were big and spacious. the staff were friendly. Plenty of shops and restaurants near buy. i would stay at this hotel again

Comfortable beds with good quilts and decent pillows.
Staff were helpful, free fast internet.
Decent breakfast.
Overall good value for the money and location- only 10min walk to Karon beach and restaurants.

Beach at Karon is so much cleaner and nicer then Patong of course if you want to go there suggest hiring a scooter its easier and cheaper then going but taxi/tuk tuk or living in Patong with a similar standard as Karon Living Room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hire a scooter. 200B a day well worth it. Do everything at your own pace.
As a Splurge in terms of food go the Two Chefs best food in South East Asia mix of European with Asian influence. 3Course meal(whole lobster tail) with drinks 2 people was $100AU well worth it and much cheaper then same thing in Patong.

Excellent value for money
Didn't expect such a bright, new, clean and spacious room for the price I was paying. There's also a mini fridge and safe box in the room. Definitely exceeds expectations!

Was pleasantly surprised as I found the hotel to be great value for money. Provided all basic amenities expected of a budget hotel but what I liked about the room was that it was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and room was well lighted. Staff was helpful and tour information and booking was readily available at reception area.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Good for budget travellers who doesn't mind walking 10-15 minutes to get to the beach.
