A couple of minutes from the hotel's right (north), under what looks like a makeshift structure, are stalls selling clothing, T-shirts, fake designer goods, Thai souvenirs … etc. A further 8 minutes will take you to bars, shops and restaurants near Karon Circle. About 15 metres to the hotel’s left (south), there is Aroona Karon where you’ll find a couple of convenience stores, choice of cafes/restaurants catering to European and Asian taste and a few massage parlours. My family of 7 from ages 6 – 68 all had a massage there. A 1-hour Thai massage costs BHT250 and a light massage for kids costs BHT150. It didn't take long to put the kids to sleep!
- Travel tip : Check with the friendly lady at the tour desk with regards to transportation. You might get a better deal compared to tuk tuk prices when travelling in a group of more than 4 pax. Tuk tuks are readily available outside the hotel but you must negotiate.

Booked deluxe semi-seaview. Had a great room with great view of sea and pool with a very good balcony to enjoy the views. Found the staff very friendly.
- Travel tip : Some good restaurants in the street next to hotel. Butterflies has free Internet for customers, and will cook very spicy Thai food, just mention you do not want food cooked for Westerners.

Overall it was a really nice hotel for not a lot of money. On our second stay we lived in the second building which is quite far from the reception but instead the room was bigger and more beautiful.
A really nice hotel
