location, facilities, staff, we stayed at the sea sands for 4 nights and were very happy with our stay. we had a poolside room which was great to go straight from the room and jump into the pool. i'm normally a much less extravagant traveller and like the more cultural places but the little taste of luxury was a nice change. the room was great, breakfast was great, facilities great and the staff were great. it is well located straight opposite the beach and just around the corner from the main strip in karon with it's many bars and eateries. we really liked this place and would def stay there again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : def hire a scooter and head to the viewpoint past kata for sunset. we went to the reggae bar and restaurant on the hillside twice for the most magical sunset and good drinks and food at the same time. a very chilled place. we also spent a day going to a couple of beaches further south of kata. one i think is called nae harn or something like that. it is where the phuket yacht club is and this beach is more protected and absolutley beautiful. we also did a day trip to raya island and highly recommend this. we did it for 900 thb each and the snorkelling, food and beach is absolutely amazing. it was quiet, secluded and virtually no tourists other than the 10 or so on our boat and the few staying at the magical resort there. the water and island is postcard thailand. also a great place to eat in karon if you want really good food at a reasonable price for the quality and location is bamboo restaurant on the main st in karon. prob the best place,food and value for money we ate at in thailand.

Friendly & helpful hotel staff
i think they should work on their breakfast variety, & hotel staff should brush up their english. We are please with the hotel staff, we arrive @ the hotel 10am with no question asked they gave us our room, even when we request for a late check out they gave it to us without question asked again. best of all is we receive my birthday cake on our 2nd day of our stay there(my actual birth date)without any request from us & we didnt even mention about it!

Clean decent sized rooms, nice pool. Good breakfast Fogging for mosquitoes whilst people using the pool. The hotel is a pleasure to stay at, with clean spacious rooms. The pool is clean and not over crowded. The breakfast is acceptable with a decent range of choice and good ommelettes.
There is a great little restaurant just out the front the hotel.

Close to beach and main street in Karon. Good price in low season. Karon is deserted in low season. Few people at hotel means breakfast is not so fresh. High price for using wireless internet. Good location opposite Karon beach. Ok rooms and nice pool. However, stayed there during low season (sep.2-4) and the hotel was almost empty. Hence, the breakfast was below average and not so fresh and varied. Decided to stay in Karon to get away from the crowds but it was way too quite - no people around so moved to Patong despite everything.

Very clean resort. Close to the beach. In center of the town, close to restaurants, shops, markets. Beautiful swimming pool. Very nice and helpful staff. Karon Sea Sands Resort is a beautiful hotel situated in the center of the town but don’t worry of the loudness. Because of the garden you will find silence so you can relax. Rooms are very clean and good equipped. If you choose the ground floor room you will be very surprised because you will have your private exit from the balcony just into the swimming pool. We loved it! There is also a very good hotel restaurant where we have eaten the best breakfast since 20 years traveling to Thailand. The hotel is situated very close to the beach where you will find some activities. We can recommend this hotel to everybody, for singles, couples, families with childrens etc.

A nice pool, friendly staff, 100 meters to the beach, cruel seafood restaurant just outside, internet available. Will not be on something! Taxi from the airport was difficult to find hotelet. Did run a few rounds before we found. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In the morning you can choose to either be on the beautiful large pool with bar, or go across the street and put themselves at the beach and get a massage. It takes only 15 minutes by taxi if you want to go into town in Patong beach.
Restaurant Tip : We ate every day in the restaurant located just outside the hotel. They have the fresh seafood and cruel at any time. And mending is super!
