- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go see Palm at Just friends tours, near the middle of the shops, by the sunglasses shop and across from the optical shop. Excellent service, very funny and good English.

Go see Palm at Friendly Tours, excellent service, near the middle of all the shops and restaurants (next to the sunglasses place and optical shop).

This is our first time in the Kata region having stayed in Karon, Patong (2x), Laguna Resort. Would recommend it for families and those not wanting the hustle and bustle of Patong which you can still go to at anytime.
- Travel tip : Great spot to learn how to surf. Plenty of beach lounges and umbrellas for everyone and are free.

A good hotel in a quieter spot than Patong offers, with a lovely beach (although sadly there is debris in it from time to time, possibly a result of the Tsunami).
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The big Buddha statue on the hill behind the hotel is well worth the trip up to see.

When you leave the grounds of the hotel, turn left and the first restaurant on the left side has delicious food. If you see the restaurant called "Tomato" you have gone too far...go back toward the hotel! The massage parlor on the left down a short alley has wonderful massages and very good manicures and pedicures for a very very low price.

personally i give 4 stars to Kata Palm Resort cause I love swimming pools and its peaceful atmosphere. Definitely I will score HATTRICK soon !
