Chukit Dacharan turned out to be in a great location on the southern end of Pasai Beach, which is one of Koh Yao's main beach areas. There are about 60 rooms, some concrete bungalows, some thatched thai huts. Our concrete bungalow had a fridge, tv and slightly wonky showerhead and was clean with a decent bed. The included breakfast was pretty good too. JJ the manager was great, helped us with all our questions. A decent enough mid-range choice

The hotel is a group of concrete well designed bungalows with ac and hot water small fridge, bed comfortable with nice sheets. Gardens lacked character and pool is a bit small but again, enough to cool off. Breakfast is included but despite the bad reviews, they have not improved the quality . The reception was very good and arranged an excellent long tail boat trip for snorkeling at a good price. Also arranged long tail to koh yao yai sand bar at our request which allowed us a solitary 5 km beach walk. Transportation was also provided to the pier.

Adequate lodging but felt VERY unwelcome

Room was average with two show heads mounted on the wall, hence you soaked to commode and floor each time you showered. Well attended grounds and clean pool which was badly in need of some updating. Huge drawback was the feral cats which numbered in the hundreds that resulted in cat fights throughout the day and evening. The front office person was very kind and helpful. The village staff was not so friendly and were often rude, I don't think they should be in this industry which is sad as it is a beautiful location. A particular faith-base organization is predominate and you are disturbed every evening across the island. They glared at tourists who were vacationing and in their swim attire on the beach, I spoke with other vacationers who felt the same-that the rudeness and feeling unwelcome was palpitable!
