Great service but not the best location
Great swimmingpools, very good service, big rooms
5.3
We stayed in the hotel in a sky room. It was a big room, nice decor and big balcony. THe hotel is pretty new but you can already see that they didnt think while buidling it_ cracks in the wall, the glasswall between shower and livingroom is leaking, when is raining the cieling in the restaurant leaks.
Big swimmingpools, good for children. Very poor breakfast.
About 5 min walk to the beach but if you want deckchairs about 10 min walk. You have to cross a small dam and there is no bridge you go on a raft that is operating 7 am-8 pm. All the restaurants are on the other side of the dam so if you eat after 8 pm you will have to get a taxi back.
Restaurant Tip:
The Andaman does a great buffet with free flow of wine/beer for 950 bath!

Close to airport but far away from everything else
Nice pool close to quiet beach
5.3
We got a villa and the hotel rooms were big and spacious. Breakfast was nice as was the reception staff. But it does not look as inviting in real life as it does in the photos. There is not a lot nearby so it is good if you want something qeuiet and just want to hang at the hotel.
Cons we ordered room service and it took over 2 hours for it to arrive as the person taking the order obviously didn't understand, even though they acknowledged that they had.
The rooms were nice but not fantastic and most people don't know where it is. Our driver took 1/2 hr to find it and it is about 45 min to 1hr away from the main beach Patong. It wasn't overely bad but I wouldn't stay there again. You could get better for your money.

Brilliant place - loved it
Nice pool, quiet and good staff

i would recommend this place as its so close to everywhere. free wifi, lovely pool and fab bungalow on the pool. slept the best we have in ages. this is also close to our charity soi dog, a wonderful charity that rescues and cares for phukets street cats and dogs.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go and see Soi Dog, if your an animal lover and care about cats and dogs on Phuket beyond - then this is the place I run the Australian branch in my spare time and just love it.

Lovely hotel with a great pool
The cleanest hotel i stayed in all of Thailand
8.3
. The resort is a 5min beachfront stroll into town but far enough for peace and quiet. The resort is much harder to access via road and the resort charges for a pick up from town or airport. The resort also advertises complimentary computer and internet usage but i found it next to impossible to access the 1 computer behind reception desk and when i finally did the receptionist asked me to get off after 1 minute as she needed to use it. One other computer was nearby but reserved for staff members only and mostly for facebook purposes.
Travel tip:
Local Taxis charge 200bht to and from the airport

we stayed at l'esprit de naiyang for the last 3 nights of our holiday after 2 weeks in patong beach and phi phi island. this was the perfect location to relax and get away from the hustle and bussle of the tourist areas. l'esprit's lovely staff and quiet surroundings made for some much needed r&r.

We came from a 3* Hotel in Khao Lak in this 4* Hotel and the difference was gigantic - the 3* Hotel was MUCH better.
We booked a room and got an upgrade to a bungalow. First we were happy, then we were not so amazed. The bath"room" was outside the bungalow in an open area but it was impossible to lock the door from the bath to the sleepingroom. So everybody can come in.
First we did was to clean the dirty brown and sticky light switch. Then I defrost the icebox in the fridge. It was full of ice.
The Hotel is NOT at the beach. You have to use a kind of a boat to cross a little river. Then you walk through a dirty wood. Also the next beach is dirty. So you walk some 100 meters to the clean beach which is full of people. Also there are many restaurants.
When you want to have a late dinner at the beach, be back in the hotel at least 10 pm, because this is the last chance to use the boat to cross the river. Or you take a taxi for 350 Baht to come back in the hotel. And don´t forget to ask at the reception for a torch before you go to dinner at the beach, because the wood you have to cross on your way back is really dark in the night.
The breakfast is very bad. Little choice of food (and the half is finished) and no fresh juice. Lousy for a 4* Hotel.
The bungalow is nice and spacy. But to offer plastic cups for the coffee is not acceptable for a 4* Hotel.

Nice looking place, but needs some improvements.
Close to park and Nai Yang Beach, spacious rooms, hotel design evokes a Thai village
4.7
L'Esprit de Naiyang looks very much like the photos. It's a comfortable, calm place with lots of room and simple decor. It has a great location next to a park and a big beach with enough restaurants and stores.
Unfortunately, smokers are everywhere - on the decks, in the passageways, and at breakfast. The breakfast itself is below average, with nothing cooked fresh and low quality ingredients. Plus they play loud and awful pop music while you are trying to eat.
The bathroom is outside, and the hot air gets trapped making it uncomfortable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you don't like cigarette smoke, you may wish to consider staying somewhere else in Nai Yang.

Disgusting! Don't stay here!
4
This was our last stop in Thailand after 2 weeks of traveling. We decided to stay here as it is close to the airport. The photos looked amazing and we thought it would be a nice place to finish our holiday. We booked the sky deluxe room and requested a double room, when we arrived we were taken to a very basic, hot room with twin beds. When I mentioned our request for a double bed the lady told me ther only one available was the villa and we'd have to pay the difference. When we saw the villa on the pool we quickly agreed. The rooms were very fresh looking, much nicer than the sky room and we were happy to be right on the pool. We changed our minds when we got in the pool (1/2 way). There was so much algae on the pool concrete and the water looked milky. The bathroom was also filthy... The shower floor was slippery from algae. The breakfast was also very basic. Stay somewhere else on the beach.
Travel tip:
Another problem that occurred is the stream between the hotel and beach stops you from crossing between 8pm-7am, so if you want to eat on the beach do it early so you don't have to pay 300Baht to get back.

a piece of paradise in phuket
small without the large resort feel, pool, location from crowds
8.7
we wanted a quiet beach holiday away from the hustle and bustle (of patong!) and the l'esprit was just perfect. only 10min from the airport. read some complaints about the curfew with the canal and boat but we thought the isolation was a plus! great pool and staff were super friendly.
