Great value
It was central for al the major tourist parts. Bedroom was clean and came with a computer with free internet access.

This is great value hotel. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I would definately retun here again.
Shopping Tip:
Leave plenty of time to shop at Jungceylon shopping centre. It is huge.

Third stay at this great Hotel

This is my third stay at the Lamai Hotel and it always suits my needs Perfectly. It is right between Bangla Rd, Jungceylon and the O-Top Markets so you can walk everywhere.
Its very easy to find after a big night.
Big TV's and Comfy beds make this a very comfortable stay!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the Bars at O-Top Markets (on the same road as the Hotel) for good fun and cheaper Beer.

Great hotel but very bad customer service

Room was really clean and there was room service everyday. Very good location. Near to the beach and jungceylon. However, setbacks are that the customer service is really poor...the lady at the reception is extremely rude. And her shift is during the day. Thus it's difficult to avoid seeing her irritating face. And the aircon has to be always switched on 24 hours as it's not very efficient. If possible avoid this hotel cause the reception lady's face just spoils the mood..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try not to play the jet ski in Thailand...they might try To scam.

Lady at front desk was very cold and not very personable.
Rest of staff very helpful.
Had help in room with printer for copy of receipts; free wifi in lobby
Clean sheets and towels every day.

nice stay in this hotel, though the staffs not really friendly. maybe they cannot speak english but as long as we stay here, it was good, the room was great, they provide computer with internet and also the printer each room. wifi very strong, i loved it. and all are free of charge. the price also very cheap. only one minus is the air con, they should fix it, i rented 3 rooms and the swing of air con in another 2 rooms weren't working well. but after all i enjoyed here, i will stay in this hotel again if i come to Phuket next time.
Nightlife Tip:
just 5 min walk to jungceylon market and bangla road.. near local foods

One of the best Hotel for solo traveler

the location is perfect for everything: night life, shopping (mall), dining, beach. there are even motorcycles for rent in the front of the hotel but given the perfect location nobody needs this. the hotel is cheap and you can also bring a guest without paying anything. the room are confortable and enough clean (not too much).in the room you have al you need: television, refrigerator, coffy maker, complete computer setup with wireless internet in the room, and large bath.
the air condition is just fine (they can improve that).
i raccomend this hotel to all the guys that come here alone looking for some fun.

The hotel is in a great location,4 minutes walk to the beach and 4 minutes to the night life area.It is an older style hotel and a little tired in places,but well worth the money.
The good points,location aside, is the number of facilities that you get in the room,there is a very large plasma tv,computor,coffee maker,hairdryer,extension leads etc., and free wi-fi.
The bad point was that at check-out they charge you for everything!I was charged 50 Bhat for every coffee sachet and each bottle of drinking water(In any other hotel I have stayed in these items,where provided,were always complimentary).There is no warning that these items are chargable so if you were staying for 2 weeks and were unaware of their policy you can expect to receive a very large bill at check-out,so beware!
Travel tip:
Don't use any of the consumables in the room!

arrived at hotel and check in was easy with my agoda paperwork,
air con was a bit loud and not the best but ok.everything else in room was fine. if you want a cup of tea or drink of water from the fridge then you have to pay, nothing is free, so stock up from a supermarket just up the road so you can please yourself!room service is very good, room always clean and tidy.only ate a couple of times in the restaurant, we prefered to eat out more.there are no spaces to leave a hire car here and if you dont hire one of the many hotel scooters then chances are,if you have a scooter,you will have to park it on the main road overnight, which was not a problem for us. only noisey at night due to hotel location. street noise
Shopping Tip:
it only takes a few minutes to walk to bangla road and the beach, i enjoyed my stay here
