Couples Australia, February 15, 2013	Nice enough hotel. free wifi Fairly close to the main areas. 7 hotel was a bit hard to find initially, even for the taxi driver. room was a decent size. however i don't think there is any hot water at all. the showers were cold but i found that if you turned the aircon off for a while, then the shower only took less than a minute to get accustomed to before having a nice cool shower. the electricity went out several times on just one of our 3 nights there. had to walk up and down the narrow stairs. however this was during the evening, and most would be out at this time anyway. this wasn't the hotel's fault, 4 or 5 blocks lost power which i believe may be a common thing in some areas of thailand. Shopping Tip: Watch out for people trying to get you to see a hotel sales pitch and that when you scratch a prize card, you may have won an iphone, ipod, $1000 or week hotel room at that particular hotel chain in Thailand which you can't use for over a month, so you would have to return to use it within 18 months. Was meant to be a 90 min sales pitch which we foolishly allowed to drag out to 4 or 5 hours. At least we held out and didn't sign. They say it is only offered for that day only, but if it was that good, then they would do a deal anytime you were to come back.

Looks recently open and everything in a mint shining condition. For travelled seeking a good sleep rather than spacious room, lotus might be a good choice.
