Modern, clean and three room keys so you can keep the air conditioner on 24/7, they gave us late check out (until 2pm) for free and it is wihin a kilometre from everything you need in Patong yetfar enough from the noiseynght life. Arrival drink was bad, cleaning of the room is not performed at a consistent time so sometimes your in the room when they come in, cleaners hardly knock before entering so make sure you are decent, pool drink prices and massages etc. (even during happy hour) are expensive (go to the Mini Mart next door for a quarter of the price), staff gave our bags to the taxi driver without us giving our baggage slips to anyone upon leaving (we weren't to impressed with this as the taxi driver we hardly knew (they were just super efficient) and the staff rarely smile but are friendly enough. The hotel is modern and clean. The pool is funky, new and clean. The second pool on the sixth floor is small and average but the views from there are nice (good sun baking spot). Happy hour by the big pool is from 1730-1830 and then there is a second happy hour by the second pool soon afterwards. Breakfast had a nice selection althoug it did not vary much for the week we were there (the coffee was unusual) and you have to ask for bacon. The security guards arevery nice and give the hotel a good feeling upon arrival. To the right of the hotel is alot of shopping, massage places and small restuarants and to the left is a few small restuarants and massage places. The security guards when asked where to hire a moped/motorbike from pointed us in the direction of a guy across the road and to the left of the hotel (40metres away) but the bikes he gave us were cutting out at traffic lights and were not filled fuel tanks and the worst part is that we had to give our pasports as assurance and when returnin the bikes24 hours later he and his friends were asleep in the tatoo shop he owned and our passports were out th front of the shop on a stand in a plastic bag (we freaked out a little).

A modern hotel, with basic build quality, poor bathroom layout, but overall, good value for money.
The main problem was the buffet breakfast, very poor selection and quality of food, set in quite basic surroundings. The first thing I noticed was a strange smell as I sat at the table, this I tracked down to the table and place mats, I asked one of the waiters to change the place mat, they changed it for the one on the next table, this was the same. The problem was coming from the cloth that was being used to wipe the tables,it was being used over and over again, a very unhygienic practice.

Very clean and staff was great!!!!Would definietely stay there again. Staff so polite,at times they have trouble enforcing some rules. The staff as a whole was very professional.Hotel met all the needs anyone would ever want on a vacation.I would recommend anyone to the hotel.Thank you Mecure Hotel and Staff.
