Our room was beautiful and we fit three people comfortably - the pool was so great and the Spa at the hotel do great massages for two hours.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to World Cafe for a dinner buffet - beautiful food and service.

We felt ok, nice rooms, good service.
Not so close to the beach - 5-7 minutes.
Dinner and breakfast not included and pretty expensive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The beach in Patong is laim/very ugly. Either you rent a car or scooter and go to a nice beach or you find a hotel near another beach like Nai harn or Lem Singh. The hotel is a good starting point to visit the island and have optional daily trips.

Modern and chic hotel close to the beach

The Mercure was everything we needed it to be. It was in close walking distance to the beach and had good eateries nearby. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel was green conscious. However, it would have been nice to have free wifi in the rooms, not just the lobby.

mercure is a reputable hotel chain and lives up to its reputation. all services we could think of is represented at the hotel. no free wi-fi in the room feels like outdated. a hotel like this must be able to afford that. the price level for the hotel services are a bit steep, but not worse than other hotels of this class.

had my first 3 nights during the 1 week stay in phuket for my honeymoon and it was superb! thou the service rendered was very average, only one stand out tt is khun olivia.. she was all smiley and patient in providing us with all the information that we need for the activities that we wanted to do...
it's a 10 mins walk to the beach and bangla road, thus you won't be disturbed with all the noise, if you're looking for a peaceful stay and a minimart next door... so yeah....
overall, i totally enjoyed my stay in mercure patong... wouldn't mind coming back to tt place for my next trip.. and will definitely ask for the pool view room again!

Large rooms, good price, in semi seclusion

Very affordable and good quality rooms. Spacious rooms, we even had two usable showers (one ground shower, and one raised shower in the bathtub). The pool we nicknamed the "grotto" because it's older and could use some renovating, but we swam anyways. Our building hadn't been used in a while so at first they had problems with electricity and the water being discolored, but they fixed it. It is definitely off the beaten track, and does not have easy swimming beach access. However, there are good restaurants and convenience stores right next to the hotel and you can book tours or rent bikes right there. It was actually really nice being away from the noise and tourism of the main Krabi hub. Six of us stayed here and got two rooms...easily fits three to a room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent motorbikes from just down the street and tour around Krabi on your own, stop at a local thai stand and get food. Make sure to drink lots of fruit smoothies, they are delicious!

nice layout of the rooms, with lemon grass oil lamp for fragrance. the location was good. we could get out and frequent restaurants without any problems. the lounge was spacious with free wifi. a bar with a duo performed in the evenings. the spa was exceptionally nice and the massage was soothing. the swimming pool was big and the facilities were excellent.
we will surely come again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The spa, in our opinion, was the best. Need some time off? Go to the Mecure Hotel SPA!

Room itself was reasonable but not amazing. Bed was extremely wide. Balcony was also a good touch. The pool was nice with friendly staff giving complimentary towels. Location was decent, within walking distance to the beach, Bangla, major shops, various restaurants, etc. Tour desk was ordinary relative to other places we stayed. All in all a great if not spectacular stay. Would stay again.
