A let down. Below expectations.

I expected a good hotel, however the experience i had was poor. There was a booking discrepency with that of Agoda and the hotel and there was no effort on the part of the hotel to resolve it. Airport transfer to airport was provided at THB1,250 when it is THB600 only. Agoda had asked for if airport trasnfer is needed but the hotel staff claimed no knowledge of that and insisted that I pay.

Overall the experience was good. Location - Walking distance (5-10 min) to Patong Beach & Jungceylon. Though not located right next to them, it is comparatively more quiet. Mercure gives me an impression as a boutique hotel. Design is not bad but certain fixtures are worn out in room(considering it is only a few years old) and seems to need repairing. Room was not impeccably clean. Spotted some stain on the floor but it was not too bad though I expected more from Mercure. Pool is nice but a bit crowded with kids. It's totally different when there are less people.

not the most central, and rooms are slightly dated. but very comfortable stay overall and it offers everything expected of a four star hotel. pool view from the balcony was great. hotel is close to hard rock cafe which has band performances at night. there is otherwise a small distance between the hotel and beach front, nightlife and restaurants/bars.

I had an job interview there so I decided to stay here to avoid being late. The staff really helpful and informative . The room was clean and beautiful especially bath room. It's the the best location but if you don't want to be annoyed by the sound of too many people or the nite life. This is the place for you
